Hey Anna,
We're missing different things about life in Daqing - not so much Daqing itself but we are really missing the wonderful expats(other foreigners) and the friends we made there - including you. I hope all is well for you!
The expo was wonderful, I think you spoke to Wayne the other day about it. In my opinion I would highly recommend seeing one or two (or more if you can) of the European pavillions as they're really cutting edge and they seem to think 'outside the box'. The Canadian pavillion was also magnificent in so many ways! The Australian pavillioin was good but not very interactive.
Be prepared for long line ups during the day but the crowd eases a lot after 5.30/6pm so you can see a lot during this time until closing time.
I hope this is helpful!
Wayne said you will be going to university soon! That is so exciting! I hope you have a great time and that you stay safe :)
Talk soon,
Jade

re TEFL in Daqing Hi Wayne and Jade!
Just found a TEFL gig from Joy Children's School and read your travel blog-verrrrry interesting! I, too, am a TEFL teacher and am seeking a teaching post with Joy. Is there an age limit for your teachers? Hope not, because this sounds like a very good place to teach in many ways, according to your blog. Let me know if there is and if so, can we work around that somehow? Thanks, Marj S.
