So, this week has been pretty boring......except for Thursday night. The International Students Society hosted Karaoke and Flip Cup at the bar, Mixers. So.......I didn't feel well this weekend, and therefore, I stayed in......but it wasn't a total loss!!!!........I did these.......... So.....a quick update on what has happened this week. Sunday night I dragged one of my apt mates, Kristin, out to the Cellar to watch the AFC Championships......so exciting. So sad that the Pats won, but not too hard to predict (it's the Chargers...I mean, come on.....). I'm not even going to lie....the Giants were really surprising.....actually the Giants played exactly how I expected.....it was the Packers who were surprising..................hopefully Eli can follow-through and beat Brady......................... Sorry it's been a while since I updated.....things have been busy! My program group went to Bunratty this weekend for a Medieval dinner in the castle. It was so much fun......all of the people that worked there were dressed in period attire. They served us a four course meal with mead to drink. It was really interesting time. Afterward we went to the pub, Durty Nelley's.....it was built in the 1600's and it was so cute and quaint. YAY......I have a bank account!!!! Are you as shocked as me?!?! I doubt it........I thought I would never be able to get an account!!! It did not come easy, though.......I was turned away yesterday with the possibility of not getting an account.....they had to check on some paperwork I had given them (the form the info desk kept telling me to get was not actually the one I needed.......). Well, registration did not go as planned.......they did not inform us that the morning registration was for people who had not started the registration process online.......so we had to all come back in the afternoon. Because of this, I was not able to go by the bank to set up my account.....so I still was not able to get it set up. Today, though, I went again to open the account; however, I was turned away AGAIN because NUIG gave me the wrong form AGAIN! So I still don't have an account!!! There hasn't been much going the past two days. I went to a talk on Historical Galway yesterday that was fairly interesting. However, because of the rain that set in, I decided not to go on the tour and to the markets. We did go out to eat later at this cute little Indian restaurant near Quay Street, but we were all too tired to stay out, so we went back to the Village......kind of sad, really...... So.....I've been trying to set up my bank account for several days now. Ulster Bank keeps giving me the run around......they say they need a proof of address form in order for me to set up an account. So, I go to the front desk to get one.....they promptly give me one and off I go. The first place I had to go today was to a psychology advisory meeting and then to get the timetables for the rest of my classes.....they don't put the times of the classes in the booklet that lists them?!......go figure...... Well, today I awoke very early-orientation was today, and it started at 9:30 am........GET EXCITED, PEOPLE!!!----oh, dreadfully sorry, had a sorority relapse there......won’t happen again........ We got a lot of information in a very short space of time, but for the most part it was enjoyable. The speakers were all very friendly and funny, and we got to have two breaks for coffee and lunch.
