Well one last blog from the road. We had our closing show today and last load out. It was bittersweat for sure. I am going to miss being on the road, but I am happy about coming home. During the last show, one of the skaters decided to get the crew to come out during finale to give one a bow. It was a nice jester. And very nice to go take a bow. We worked hard for it. Most of the guys on tour who have been on tours for a long time, said that this was one of the hardest they've ever done, even worse than South America!! So we made it. And set the company record for fastest load out! 1:49! It feels like I've been gone for years. BUt I am ready ... read more
Good evening from IOWA! We are right on the eastern border. Our show this week is in Moline, IL just across the border. We are about 45 minutes from Iowa city. We drove right past it! I still miss it. Anyways. South Dakota was alright. Mount Rushmore was amazing. We had a lot of fun. It's a lot smaller than it looks in the movies, which is probably because the helicoptor getting the shot is like ten feet from the heads!! Anyways, it was really cool to be able to go there. I'll try and attach a pic. Council Bluffs was nice. The weather is getting warming which is making everyone much happier. It was 60 today when we loaded out of CB. Great News; In SD we tied the load out record for the company ... read more
Good evening from Rapid City, South Dakota. Well, were back in America, which is great. We were in Billings, Montana last week. We arrived around 11:30 am last monday there and it was 50 degrees and sunny. We all went crazy. We haven't had that kind of weather in a long time. By 1 in the afternoon it was in the 60's and we were all outside in lawn chairs, grilling. And then some one bought a wiffal ball set and we played the rest of the afternoon, even when it starting hailing and raining. We didn't care. It was that much of a relief to not be in 40 below weather! The next day it dropped to 35 degrees and I went ouside and was warm. It blew my mind that 35 felt warm!! I ... read more
Hey guys. We're in Saskatoon, SK this week. The forth worst and desolate city in canada. The other three are pretty much all the city's we've been too in the last few weeks!! ANyways, We load out tomorrow and head back to the states!! Horah! I can't wait. I am really excited to be back home. First stop, Billings Montana. Should be nice. Anyways, Our tour ends the 22nd of March and we are leaving for home on Mom's birthday. I am trying to get the Tour Coor. to let me rent a car and drive back. I do not want to fly. Also, I have so much stuff now, I would have to ship a lot of it home, which I don't want too. He's looking into it. So I'll let you know, when I ... read more
Hello from Regina, SK. A very cold, flat place. Reminds me of Iowa in the winter! We have a split week this week. So we go back to work tomorrow after just loading out in Grand P. last night. And then we load out here Wednesday and head to some other forsaken and cold Canadian town. It's our last week in canada. Next monday we fly, thankfully, to Billings Montana. I am very excited to get back to the states and to Montana. First, it'll be nice to walk up to any atm and get money, instead of searching the entire city for one that takes visa!! And it's America, oh yeah! So, after packing every week for the last three months, in that confusion I've lost my blackberry. So another blackberry bites the dust! I ... read more
Hello from Grande Prairie, Alberta. The furthest north our tour goes. I think! And it's a nice and cold here. It's another run down town in Canada. Nothing here but some cold Canadians! Well since learning our tour is ending our crew has gone a little crazy. In P.G. one of our sound guys bought a drum set! So we've been jamming back stage, and of course jamming really loudly. We now have to find our own room in the next cities! The Band's room! We also put up our show faster than we ever did, and it wasn't for the shows purpose. The night before we loaded into PG one of the crew guys bought a Led Zeppelin live dvd and the whole crew got pumped when someone decided it would be awesome to play ... read more
Greetings from Prince George, BC. We just arrived a couple of hours ago. Penticton was bittersweet. Right before the first show on Saturday we had a company meeting in which they annoucned that Feld was shutting down all three HSM tours. So we all got fired, essentially! The orginal plan was that they would keep at least one tour open, ours. So after March, we would have the summer off and then go back on Tour in August. But now, the tour is over in March for this crew. We also learned that they are shutting down one of the stage shows as well. I guess the bad economy has finally started to take it's toll on the entertainment industry. As crew this is really bad news. With four shows closing and only one new show ... read more

Anyways, he will be posting it on his webiste within the next few days. You must see this picture. IT's the one with the tug boat on the river. It's absolutly beautiful. This is the second attempt at this blog, the first crashed!! Well, here I am in Penticton, British Columbia, after the best travel day ever. I'll get back to that. Victoria, BC was beautiful. IT was a quiant little town on the harbor to the Pacfic. IT was a lot like Charleston in that they try and keep the old world feel with gas lamps and cobble streets. The weather was magnificant. So we got good chances to walk around and see the town. They rarely get snow there, because there so close to the ocean. Which is weired, but we were not complaining. It was nice to not be stuck in a blizzard! So yesterday morning we jumped on three large transit coachs and headed towards another harbor for about an hour. We got there ... read more
Well its the last night in Edmonton. Tomorrow we fly to Victoria, BC. It's just northwest of Seattle. This will be the furtherest west I've ever been. Edmonton was nice. The show went fine here. I am running backstage by myself now, which is good. We had nice weather when we got here on Tuesday. It was around 30/40 F. Thats about 5/10 degrees Celsius! I am trying to learn the metric system, since that's what they use here in Canada! But wednesday it got bitterly cold and we were quickly reminded we were back in Canada! Tuesday when we got in, me and three of my friends went and saw the Oilers play the Blue Jackets. It was pretty awesome. It was a great game too. Oilers won the game with 30 seconds left! Great ... read more
