| 10th September 2008 Judy Stringer | wanting to help - From: In the Middle of a Hurricane Had a great vacation at Manta House. Have heard most of the people we met got off or are safe. What can we do to help directly - so funds don't get shifted to other areas than Grand Turk? When restructuring plans are finalized post a local fund so fans of the Island can direct help to the specific needs of the Island. |

I have family and friends there an I'm very much so worry about that... I got a Call from my Aunt in Provo, Her restaurant is Flooded out and her daughter lost her house. Her son Dave lost his Workshop and home in Grand Turk. I have lived on Grand Turk for 6 years and Never went through such a disaster. Just the oder day I was speaking to a Friend and she to lived there for years and this had never happened. Well our prayers are with the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands also the rest of the Caribbean. Thank you so much for the Info. I will keep updated with your Website to see what happening. | 7th September 2008 Rozuki | Hey JP.... - From: In the Middle of a Hurricane I stumbled across your blog while I was searching for info on how bad Hurricane Ike hit GT....Stu and I went diving with you last couple of times we were there...Stu is going to call Mitch later today (it's Sunday 9/7) to find what is going on down there. He is in Chicago right now at a training class and I am here on LI dealing with the aftermath of Hannah which hit us yesterday with 4-5 inches of rain. Did you all (Jenny, Loren, Monica, Mitch, Tonya, Kat, Conky and everyone else!) evacuate the island? How bad is it? Premier Misick is being quoted as saying 80% of the houses are destroyed or damaged??? |

You will grow up in a few years, have fun now and remember the good times when that day comes.
