What a trip! Hi John,
I really enjoyed reading about your trip and seeing all the great photos. Reading your comments and enjoying the photos brings back memories of my time in India. I would love to see more of India some day as I only was in New Dehli for the 5 months I was there.
Rick
Thanks for the blog I really enjoyed reading all your entries and seeing the pictures; great job with the blog. Congrats on taking the trip and getting so much out of it.
Oh my goodness! what a time you must be having March 22, 2010
Love your blog... photos are fantastic. I can't wait to hear all about the trip when you return. Unbelievable... you are quite an adventurer.
By the way, joined the Fleet Facebook group. Easy and great way to communicate to members.
Sent you a regular email today... not sure you will get it.
When is your return?
I know you are enjoying every minute.

Dad said he loves seeing your pictures and stories. What a ride on that little boat with the crocodiles! Alot of experiences and a fun group too. We had a great st Pats day here, Dad was decked out like a little leprecaun! YOur blog has been great thanks for sharing your adventures. wishing you a safe trip home--just in time for spring! love, Dad and Julie
Hi John,
are you in the jungles now? Hope you get to see lots of interesting animals--watch out for those black lepards (remember the lepard running along side of dads jeep?!) I read your entries to dad tonight and he had fun traveling through india with you, revisiting some of the sites he must have seen long ago--great stories...
a very happy birthday to you, celebrate it to the full!
"Thanks so much for sharing the terrific pictures and all the other stories. Hope you have a wonderful birthday. God bless you, love, Dad."
Happy Birthday! Hey, John! What a great birthday you must be having. Thanks for sharing your odyssey with us. The photos are wonderful. Even I might be willing to get up early to see some of those sights at sunrise. Lee and I thought of you the other night when we watched a documentary on traditional Irish music and learned that Irish folk musicians, especially the McPeake Family and the Clancy Brothers, were some of the earliest influences on Bob Dylan. Happy trails and sails to you! Joann
Happy High Birthday! Hi(gh) John!
It is great and fitting that you are celebrating your b-day at the top of the world. The pictures of Fish Tail and Annapurna are wonderful. The air up there must be quite exhilarating. May your spirit soar even higher than your physical altitude! You are obviously having a very good time on this trip, so we hardly have to wish you Happy Birthday--but we will do it anyway. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SRI JOHN! We don't have to give you a present either because you have already given yourself this super trip--however, you may get a present anyway.
Right now you have your head in the clouds, but, when you come back down to earth, keep in mind that the GuitarFest is coming up April 9-11. It would be great if you would come here once again for that. You could regale us with great stories and pictures about John's Excellent Adventure.
Mountain View Again. Spectacular. I talked to my Indian co-worker and she said you will find that this time will go by so fast and that this is not nearly enough time to see and do all you want. I can see you are soaking it all up. And one more time... HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I love those mountains. Keep smiling. I'll be in Annapolis tomorrow for acupuncture. Not exactly the same as your message, but boy do I need it. Have fun...

Trouble with this Blog I've tried a few times to post to your blog, Johny-ji, but I get an error message. Trying again.
Wishing you a happy St. Patrick's Day Birthday!!!! Have the priests do a yagya for you then. Nice idea. All of the best......
chuck and jody
Mountain View You know how much I love the mountains. What spectacular pics. I used one of the programs that lets you see where you are anywhere on earth. Looked up your location. I saw you waving. :) Hope you get to visit the park.
Almost Happy Birthday!!!!
Hi John,
You are taking in so much! Is India different than you imagined it would be?
We are enjoying your blog and hopefully I can get dad on tomorrow. The pixs are really beautiful. Have fun in the jungles--watch out for those pythons on the roads...
Julie
Fantastic Wow, You must be having the time of your life. I guess after all the shots that you have had, sticking your feet in the ghanges can't touch you. I was moved by your experience of the ghats and the family you encountered. Maybe I will have you sprinkle my ashes there? I expect that you won't be communicating while on safari. Enjoy it all... wishing you lots of bliss.
John Douglas will be coming sometime in April or May. Thought you would like to know. I am going to see Ross on Tuesday. Oh and since you probably will not be communicating here on your special day...HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
My computer is acting weird for the last couple days but somehow I was able to get onto your blog. Hmmm.... Well anyway...Bliss to you.
Namaste and Jai Guru Dev
Blessings While you are in Varanasi, get some excellent blessings for yourself at puja and in the temples. Also, if you think of it, pass on some blessings to your friends back home! How about a yagya or two? In any case, we eagerly await the pix from this holy place.
Agar or Agra? Gelling agent or place of the Taj Mahal? Just joshing. Joann uses agar sometimes for thickening... Thanks for putting all the great commentary and pix on the blog. The buildings, people, food and snakes all seem quite fascinating.
Speaking of snakes, did you actually have the nerve to touch one? Have you heard anything about the great Mogul emperor Akbar and his wife Jodha? I think they spent time in Jaipur if I remember correctly.
Keep up the flow of commentary and pix! Don't forget to get a pic of John on an elephant...
Puja This certainly sounds like the India that I imagined. I bet the Taj was beautiful. And the boat rides sound really special. Enjoy ... And be safe.

Hi again...I seem to be getting the hang of this blog. I am doing this all the same night. Sorry I have not kept up sooner. I haven't found your first night yet. How was that hotel? You look like you weathered the long flight well. I was thinking about you and wondered how you did. You got there so it must have been okay. Pictures are great. You are really seeing alot things. Have fun.
It looks like you are having a great time. The Wind Castle is fabulous. I love the architecture. Snake charming....you have lost your mind. Did you get a shot for that? Don't even think about bringing home one of those cobras and baskets. You will be driving by yourself......Glad you are enjoying. Pictures are beautiful. I love the picture of the ladies. Great shot..Take care.
Hi. I finally got some time off from work to see how your trip was progressing. So what do you think of India? Hope you are having fun. Weather has been terrific at home. Where are you now? Riding a Camal? Elephant? or buying Rubies.....
Take care and stay safe. See you when you get home....
Hi John,
