Jealous or what! Great travel writing! You make us feel the temperature and the damp and that helps the feeling of
excitement when you get to MP.
Keep on travelling and writing about it! Makes our drives around Ashford in the fog seem a bit tame!

smiling I read your latest blog with a v big smile on my face. You are just so much more confident than me, Jen - I can't imagine doing all these things on my own - finding accom, new people to talk to, tours and experiences... Makes me feel v old and set in my ways!
Taking recycling a step to far if you don't mind me saying - coffee from beans that have already been in and out of an anuimal's gut!!!! Are you mad! The sun has gone to your head.
I also smiled at the idea that you are on this amazing indep adventure, and your mum still has bought you an icecream.
The scooter tour sounds a brilliant idea - there's an opening for you when you return - but maybe not in hilly Bristol.
sally xx
wow Hi jenny
Another amazing journal - you are such a good writer, and your entries will be a brilliant and detailed memory book. The snake and jumping crocs sounded terrifying. The pic of the ancient rock art is fab.
Enjoy the Orient!

rocks Hi jenny
what an amazing diary - you are so good at remembereing all the detail and explanations, I found it fascinating. UK has been nearly as hot the last few days - honestly! Almost 30C! But all that will change before the BHol wkend... You look so well in the photos, and sound very happy.
The advert is in again for our new priest, so fingers crossed once more. All are well, except for Margaret Hellier who has fallen and fractured her pelvis. And someone else has left (moved to Wales) - Neal. So we getting fewer by the week. Quality not quantity? love s
Looks lovely! It all looks lovely, and quite educational among the drinks and food and talking! You look well babe' and your hair is blonder in the sun ( Wot sun?!)
Lv you , talk soon, Mummy xx
Greetings from Peru Dearest Jen,
How wonderful you keep on making your dream come true!!!!
All the pictures you show and the comments you make help us be with you and enjoy this great trip of yours!!!
A big hug,
Lupe and Tony (PerĂº)
Jealous? Nah Hi Jenny No matter that your news is always 2 months+ out of date - just keep it coming... Me, jealous? You bet. NZ sounds wonderful - definitely somewhere I'll hope to travel round one day - but maybe not including a tight and bright party or FergBurgers... but you never know!
Spring has eventually arrived here, herrah. Palm Sunday this wkend. The vicar interviews were yesterday, but we won't know for a bit what / if an offer has been made or accepted. V frustrating!! Hot news - Robin and Helen are expecting a baby!!!!!!!!! And Rob has been accepted for ordination training, and is in Cambridge now for an interview for a college. Our group are doing Easter morning breakfast - we could do with your help on eggs!
love s xx
Good on ya Hi Jenny, Lovely to hear the next travel installment. Am I jealous - NO!! (I tell myself) UK has just had some more snow - lots! during the half term break. Not in Bristol that settled, but deep in Glos and Herefordshire. And so so cold every day... But we have got daffodils out in the garden, and saw lots and lots of snowdrops on our week's holiday in Dorset. We stayed in a lovely N Trust cottage just yards from a bird hide overlooking watery marshes. So many birds, and also herds of wild sika deer.
All are fine at Cotham, and there's a parish away day at Emmaus House next Sunday.
Enjoy NZ. Then where? love sally xx
so jealous! So jealous -it looks great! Cant believe its 6 months - we miss you! Take care of yourself in NZ and dont trust strangers, espec men - too readily! LY mummy xx
Hello! Hi Jen! Missing you loads! Remember ur never travelling alone as we're all thinking of you while you're gone! Can't believe its been 6 months already. I really hope you enjoy and make the most of the next 6. We can't wait to see you and hear all the stories we didn't read here hehe! Take care, love you loads, Sarah F xxx
Belated Happy Birthday, Jenny!!
Great pics from Buenos Aires. About to read the next installment too... But weren't you going to be in Australia with family, for Christmas? I am confused.
All is well in Bristol. The snow and ice is melting after 2 weeks of real disruption and fun. My Ellie left to move to Edinburgh yesterday - my baby! Lois seems happy enough in her new home - a large room in an Abbeyfield House just near the Downs. She hasn't been out during the snow and ice. Being sensible for once... We'll see if she manages to restart her daily vigil or not. She aims to go to All Saints church on midweek mornings. love sally xxx
Thanks and happy new year Thanks for your messages, I hope the new year is off to a great start for all of you too. having a great time in Oz and i had a fab xmas and new year, saw the fireworks which were amazing! Lots of love xx
Happy New Year! : ) Hi Jenny, we are all sat around discussing your travels and I remembered I hadn't left a comment on your blog. Looks really brilliant and it sounds like (most of) it is great fun. I hear you are in Oz now, Sam and I had great fun there a few months back, lots of adventures to be had. Hope it's not too hot and Christmas wasn't too strange without it being cold. We had snow here. I will pass you on to a few of the others here now, all the best, Paul.
All the best luck for further travels, stay safe, HAPPY NEW YEAR, Ossie Eve and Kate
Hi Jen, Hope you had a great New Year, Nina and I are round Paul's and getting in the New year spirit. Speak to you soon, love Dad xx
Hi Jen Hope you have had a fantastic New year Have a great Time in the New Year Lots of love Nina,
bit late! I think you are a bit behind with your homework! But looked lovely and you look well and happy!
Love you and miss you espec at xmas, Mummy xxxxxx
Happy Christmas HI Jenny
Glad you are still having fun. I'm so impressed by the geography / geology / history lessons you are giving us. I think you'd make a fab tour guide. Your expression re the Americans who were 'a few biscuits short of a biscuit tin' really made me laugh!!! Don't knock guana - it was the incredible wealth made from it, that made a Victorian man so rich that he had Tyntesfield built - it is now a huge National Trust pile just outside Bristol.
So where are you for Christmas? I thought you were going to be with relatives in Aussie. Wherever you are, have a peaceful and blessed time. We've just been decorating Cotham - a lovely new nativity scene, African style, below the altar. But it will be a small congregation - so many have moved in the last few weeks: Robin and Eliz; Emily; Ann King. Lois has also moved from her flat into an Abbeyfield Home near the Downs.
lots of love Sally xxx
quinoa in Bristol! HI Jenny. Fantastic description of your Inca Trail adventure - lucky you. It sounds amazing, but I bet your legs were very jelly like by the end. I quite like the idea of running porters to carry my stuff and cook bananas flambe. Don't know why Nigel has never done it for me on our hill walks... Quinoa is indeed known and eaten in Bristol. It is actually a protein food, and I now eat it instead of couscous which of course is wheat, whereas quinoa is gluten free.
Thanks also for the history lesson. As always, we in Europe should feel ashamed of our greed and history of taking over and obliterating indiginous peoples for our own gain.
Are there such animals as Paddington bears?? They don't eat plants, you know. They eat marmalade sandwiches.
I am so jealous of you seeing humming birds and toucan.
Enjoy the next phase.
Next wkend off to London - also Mary Snow, Sue Dibdin and Dorothy, for the big Climate Change march...
love sally xx
Lo such a real insight into south America makes me want to travel and see the world so pleased you are having such a good time
Thank you love Nina and Ray
Fotos at last! Hello darling, how wonderful to see your foto at last and see you alive, and well and in exotic places! Makes it seem more real to us here in boring old UK! It sounds like you are having a fab time, meeting all sorts of people, as well as wild life and weather conditions! Relaxing on a Bus? looks like a luxury flight?! I thought the buses were rickety old things full of chickens and smelly people?!
will ring you soon, lotsa love, Mummy xxx
From an envious friend! Yay im finally getting your blogs! And i just read all of them and they're so interesting and insightful ('i am called llama' - brilliant!). Sounds like you're having an incredible time and im so pleased you're getting to do everything you want to. Missing you loads and (as much as i don't want to wish your time away) can't wait til you're back on home soil to tell us all about it...i feel another reunion coming along! hehe.
Love you and miss you loads sweetie. Take care. Can't wait for the next instalment
Love Sarah xxxxxxxxxx

Hopefully I will have the time/internet access/will to put things up here and not let it sit here on the internet all empty and jealous of the blogs that get updated by their owners.... we'll see.
