It looks like your making such a difference Joanna! Hope your loving it and not missing Tanzania too much. As I write this it's like 1 degree outside, im trying to do an essay on the Global Political Economy and have been watching daytime tv way too much...I really wish I was back in Africa! Being out there puts stuff in perspective so well. Was telling my friend about the kids from the orphanage and started crying the other day, they thought I was a lil bit crazy! Anyway, I really should get back to work. I hope your still having an amazing time, will be following your many adventures Missing you! xxx (Ps, reading your book, its awesome!) Anyway, I'm sure you're having a fantastic time and I hope it continues that way. Its something most people will never experience (myself included as that entry has completely scared me off!). Let's pull together - From: Nimerudi!!!
Hi all Joannna's friends etc, I am returning to Arusha next week with the same concerns about Joanna's and my projects. We will put our heads together and see what we can come up with - my mind is buzzing with possibilities and I would like to suggest that anyone out there who knows anyone who would be prepared to sponsor LETOA/Faraja projects long term shouold make contact with one or other of us before I leave the UK Tuesday 14th. My thinking is that if there was a business - perhaps a travel company or health concern who would be prepared to invest what is actually not a huge amount of money to keep these projects running long term we would administer the money ourselves to ensure that it was used correctly and not mis-spent by the adults on the make. This is a problem throughout East Africa and is hard to stomach sometimes. If we all put our heads together maybe we can sort something out quickly, whilst Joanna is still in the country. I would love to take over the management of both projects as I had considered setting up my own ethically run project in the future - but this could work if we think positively. I can be contacted via email - helen.livingwithloss@ntlworld.com - or on the telephone - 0044 (0)116 2784689 - leave a message if I don't pick up - it's my work phone so can't speak when counselling. I have fingers crossed - dark chocolate, cereal bars, camera charger etc. packed and ready to go. Love Helen

I bet there was much shreiking and mayhem at that one. You sound like you are really working very hard - I hope you are taking care of yourself as well. Have a great time at the lodge - I am so envious. I keep looking art flights tpo see if I can get out again before you leave but they are so expensive it s not going to happen. How's the mad house? - From: Take the vegetarian to the moon
How are things in the place of the sheep and the bulls that fight. We are really missing all the BB action - it seems very quiet back here in wet UK. Trying to sort out pix at the moment. Have been in touch with Mariah about all the happenings and weird outs in the house. How is the health of everyone???????? Is Lisa still spotty? Can't shift the rotton cold I came home with - which snotty individual passed it to me I wonder? Plenty to choose from I reckon. How are the new volunteers getting on at Faraja. Do tell them to contact us if they need any help or suggestions. Would love to hear how things are, especially with Luta. Still looking into how best to sponsor him safely - that the money goes to him and not into someone else's pocket. Problem to be sorted. Write soon. Take care. Love to al. Helen

Hi Gavin. I do remember Fraser! I think he may have been in my sister's year. Thanks for all of your support for this trip. I will see you in May, 3 days before I fly! Joanna.

Good Luck - From: Rotary Club Fundraiser
You wont know me Joanne but my son was at school with you. Perhaps you remember Fraser Graham who is now working in Salt lake City, Utah. He left for USA about the same time as you to work for Microsoft. Anyway good luck with your venture and our Rotary club was delighted to start the ball rolling with our Coffee Morning.
