Thanks very much for posting your stories during your trip, I feel like I have learned so much about Africa through your descriptions. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!! Just wanted to say thanks for the beautiful artwork you sent. When I got the letter, I thought...who in the world is sending me a letter from outside the US? I couldn't imagine! But what a wonderful surprise. I have hung it here at work for all to enjoy.
Take care and I hope and pray that you have a safe and incredible new year.

You are our hero!
Take care! Love from us all.
Meet me in Nairobi Can't wait - seems ages since we last met - all of 3 months in fact - but here we go again - NOT Thelma and Louise - |Pinky and perky maybe? Or the Golden Girls? See you soon.
Heya It looks like your making such a difference Joanna! Hope your loving it and not missing Tanzania too much.
As I write this it's like 1 degree outside, im trying to do an essay on the Global Political Economy and have been watching daytime tv way too much...I really wish I was back in Africa! Being out there puts stuff in perspective so well. Was telling my friend about the kids from the orphanage and started crying the other day, they thought I was a lil bit crazy!
Anyway, I really should get back to work. I hope your still having an amazing time, will be following your many adventures
Missing you! xxx
(Ps, reading your book, its awesome!)
(Pps... i must stop saying 'awesome'...its all your fault!)
The same as the others! Just in case you send emails with details on how to help, please add me to the list. You don't wont remember me as I was just one of a party that wandered into your school in Arusha the day before we went up Kili, one of the others took your details and has emailed us all with the blog details. I was impressed by what you'd done in Tanzania, I've been very touched reading this post.
Hi
I am a 28 year old female from Scotland. Having lived and worked in the States for the past 5 or 6 years, I am preparing to embark on a 9-month trip to East Africa. I will be volunteering in 3 different countries, for 3 months in each. In Tanzania - at Sharom Orphan Centre. In Uganda - on an Outreach-to-children program. In Malawi - at the Monkey Bay Community Hospital. A life-changing adventure awaits! I am recording this adventure for memories for myself and for entertainment and/or information on my experiences and whereabouts for anyone else who is interested! Wish me luck!... full info
