A lot of the other things - like smoko, and the drink and drive slogans - are very similar to home in OZ. But Kiwis definately have their own way of doing (and saying) things. We also love that a babycino in NZ is called a fluffie (in Australia a fluffy is a polite words kids use to say 'fart'). |

| 1st November 2008 ayesha | wow - From: Rangitoto Island Adventure on the 17 of november 2008 i am going on camp we r going 2 camp motatapu on the oter side of motutapu island and we hav 2 walk there we meat at the warf at 6 in the morning and go on the fullers boat we go to the camp and drop all of our luggage we then go on the boat again and get dropped on the other side of the volcano we the have 2 walk all the way accros over the mountain and then we arive at camp... me and my friends are so excited...thank 4 the pictures they really hellped me with my reasherch thank you . |

You'll be interested to know that the trilobite fossil is abtially a chiton, and it's alive (believe it or not!) Have a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyplacophora Pretty odd looking things, kinda interesting. Try as I may when I was a kid I just couldn't get them off the rocks, they're stuck on pretty hard! |
