We took a three day trip to Kerala from Chennai. we boarded the Chennai -Allepey mail on 30th July, thursday @ 2100hrs Reached allepey on the 31st @1030hrs. we had our can waiting for us in the railway station. he took us to the house boat jetty. we did buy around 2kgs of karimeen (lake fish) for fry, also carried a crate of mineral water and some soda bottles.
