Interestingly Seville is the sister city of Kansas Citysomething I was told but forgot until I stepped off the train and saw a big sign for an exit to Kansas City Avenue. It is actually one of the main streets in Seville. I spent three nights in Seville and had plenty of time to take in the city without rushing myself. The first night I went on a tapas tour and http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Spain/Andalusia/Seville/blog-322333.html Barcelona As many of you know I'm back in the US but I thought I should give a recap of the time I spent in Spain Barcelona definitely takes the award for best nightlife. It kind of has an unfair advantage though seeing that everyone takes midafternoon siestas to prepare themselves for a night out on the town. I arrived in Barcelona after a 10hour day of travel from Nice. That was by far the longe http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Spain/Catalonia/Barcelona/blog-320112.html Cote dAzur The Cote dAzur or the French Riviera definitely attracts the rich and famous with its resorts and overthetop and extravagant style. It can be very expensiveI paid 6 euros for a beer at the bar which many of you know is the equivalent of nine US dollars. It is possible to do it on a shoe string though. I stayed at the Villa St. Exupery hostel and it really made the trip doable for someo http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Provence-Alpes-C-te-d-Azur/Nice/blog-319567.html Paris Im not even sure where or how to start describing Paris. I certainly wouldnt do it justice even if I tried. I was only there three days and absolutely fell in love with the city. I will definitely be coming back I stayed in Montmarte an area of Paris that is up on a hill above the center of the city. I was very close to the Sacre Coeur. One night I did a Fat Tire bike tour which I would http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Ile-de-France/Paris/blog-319321.html Amsterdam First of all Ive been having a really tough time finding computers that are able to upload my photos. I was able to get a bunch done this week however so hopefully I can get several entries out soon. Also many of you have sent me messages or emails....I will respond I promise Once I return to the states Ill be able to respond to messages. Finally in an effort to save time and avoid me http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Netherlands/North-Holland/Amsterdam/blog-317884.html Moving Quickly So I'm doing a really poor job updating this thing Just wanted to drop a quick note to let you know that I just spent the last five days or so in Amsterdam and Paris and it was an incredibly quick jampacked couple of days. I took a night train from Paris and arrived in Nice this morning. I am going to use Nice as a base to explore the French Riviera the next couple days. Then it's likely o http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Provence-Alpes-C-te-d-Azur/Nice/blog-317838.html Vienna We arrived in Vienna last Thursday afternoon. The train ride from Ljubljana was just over five hours. One of the first things I noticed about Vienna is how incredibly clean the city is which is especially impressive considering its sizearound 1.8 million people. It is a great city to just stroll around in and you could spend several days just wandering and taking in the city's impressive a http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Austria/Vienna-State/Vienna/blog-315533.html Slovenia We arrived in the Slovenian capital of Ljubljana on last Tuesday morning. Slovenia is a a very small countrypopulation just over 2 millionand Ljubljana is a city of just 254000. I have heard it referred to as a miniPrague but since I haven't been to Prague I can't really say whether that's an accurate description or not Slovenia in general is very green and Ljubljana was no exceptio http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Slovenia/Upper-Carniola/Ljubljana/blog-315331.html Dalmatian Coast Stunning. Breathtaking. Choose whatever superlative you wish. The Adriatic coast of Croatia has to be one of the bestkept secrets in Europealthough it's definitely becoming a hot spot for European travelers and backpackers and was really perhaps just a secret to me. We spent all of our time in the middle of Croatia's Adriatic coastline known as Dalmatia. There are a lot of offshore isl http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Croatia/Dalmatia/Dubrovnik/blog-313574.html Budapest Well we got off to a rough start in Budapest and it may have been a bit of a sign of the days to come. I would say overall that I liked Budapest there was some good aspects bad aspects but was definitely glad to leave after a couple days. First Budapest is just much different than Krakow. It is twoandahalf times the size of Krakow and generally not as easy to get around. The Danube Ri http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Hungary/Central-Hungary/Budapest/Pest/blog-311632.html Budapest "Police" Just wanted to give a quick update on our night train experience from Krakow to Budapest. It was a 10hour trip and we reserved a little couchette. The room had two threelevel bunks and it was VERY small. It would have been a good trip I think but we showed up and there were no less than six Irish kids hanging out in our room. They proceeded to drink vodka and discuss music festivals most o http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Hungary/Central-Hungary/Budapest/Buda/blog-310843.html Krakow Krakow has proved to be a great place to start our trip. Our hostel was nice and there were a lot of fun young people staying there. We have met people from all over E.g. Massachusetts New Zealand France UK Ireland California Finland. Our hostel is right in the Main Market SquareOld Town. There are many restauracjas on the outskirts of the courtyard a lot going on. Cloth Hall right http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Lesser-Poland/Krakow/blog-310100.html Blame Canada Well it has been quite a couple days as I guess some of you might have heard Just to catch you up here is a synopsis of my trip thus far and the difficulty I had just making it to Krakow. Tuesday night I flew out of KCI to Toronto on Air Canada to catch a connecting flight to London. That flight barely made it to London on time and we ran through the airport and customs to get to our gate. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/United-Kingdom/England/Greater-London/London-City/blog-309752.html Ryan Huschka's Travel Blog Hey Everyone As most of you know I've spent the past year clerking for Judge Deanell Tacha in Lawrence Kansas. Unfortunately my time there has come to an end and today I'm taking off for five weeks to backpack through Europeone last attempt to avoid the inevitable arrival of the real world. I start private practice in DC this fall. I'll be overseas until September 10 and my itinerary i http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Kansas/Lawrence/blog-308643.html
