Happy day allWhen I have to start out by apologizing that there will be no photos today. We are working from a 10 year old computer and there is no UBS ports. The most unfortunate thing is that the photos we got today are the most stunning yet Unbelievable sea and cliff views. We promise we will add many photos tomorrow when we are in a more high tech town. Anyways we started off the day wi

Hi allFor once this is Lyndsay starting the blog. This will be an early blog tonight both because we have little to share and because our hostel internet is shutting down in 2 hours. It is really expensive to get on the internet here. Over 1.00 per 10 minutes. So we awoke this morningto rain of course. We left the walled city of Lucca and grabebd a train to Levanto. Well still raining here whe

Hello allWell today we went in search of a vineyard in hopes of a tour and a couple of tastings. We were looking to head to a town called Monte Carlo which sounded like the gateway to several vineyards in the hills. Unfortunately the train schedule did not match our schedule so we were forced to take a train to a different city called Pescia just down the road 30 miles. We werent sure what to

Hello allThe title pretty much sums up our day. We hoped on a subway at 8 am this morning in route to the Vatican. Starting at the museum we walked and walked and walked until we ended up back at our hostel. I am guessing 78 miles is a conservative estimate. Lots of interesting things along the way including a great tour of the vatican. Im not into old artsy stuff but it was pretty dang

Good afternoon allMade it to Roma today sad to leave Malta but excited to start a new country. Both of us were very nervous to get to Italy due to the language differences. However we quickly adjusted and realized that pointing and nodding has no language barriers. We were welcomed with some rain sprinkles but we thought we would head out from our hostel in search of the Colosseo Colliesie

Day 2 and 3 in Malta

Hi allJust finished up dinner and saw a computer in the back of the restaurant so we thought we should check in. We spent the day up at the Blue Lagoon a sheltered inlet at the north of Malta that has crystal blue waters and tiny private sand beaches. The trip over was a bit crazy as we had to take a ferry to the lagoon and the waves in the sea were 23 meters 49 feet for all you Americans

We had a taxi waiting for us to take us directly to SImon's Pub. It was great to taste a Cisk Chisk again. As I have told people it is like PBR with lemon.
Well we've go four days to get everything together in preparation of our 18 day trip to Malta and Italy. We are flying out at 9 pm on Thursday evening and the list of todo's requires a lot more time than four days. Since my skills are focused on numbers vs writing you won't be getting any indepth philosophical entries in the blog during our trip. Rather I am hoping to use this website to sta
