We are finally in Pune! The flight was 3 hours, give or take, from Jaipur to Pune with a stop in Ahamebad. Although Pune is a college town, the poverty rate is worse than everywhere else. Our rooms also took a dive bomb....its hard to go from 4 star to a hole in the wall. My aunt uncle and cousin are all staying with us though, so its nice to be so close. We've finally noticed a smell but our car windows have been open so that explains that. Pune is also about 20 degrees warmer than everywhere else we've been. I'm loving it but everyone else is hot. Last night was henna night. It was so much fun to watch the lady do her thing and the henna smells yummy. It goes on black and ... read more

It is time now for a humorous blog. This shall tell you all we have noticed that seem to be suggestions. Not laws. Not statements. Suggestions. First of all the road: Lane markings. They are there. They tell you the minimumof vehicles that fit on a road. We have experienced twice that. Stop lights. If no ones there, keep going. When stopped, all motorbikes go to the front. 20-30 motorbikes are normal. Number of Passengers. Varies with the vehicles. Jeeps hold upwards of 25. Motorbikes hold 5 (children are allowed to drive). Buses have people on the top, hanging out the side, holding on the back. Normally if you can see the vehicle as it goes by, its not at capacity. Seatbelts. Eh. They are there. See Number of Passengers. Speed Limits. Again, occasionally they are ... read more

Namaste Readers! Alright, this is round 2 because the computer did not save round 1. I apologize in advance. I've got several days and adventures to catch you up on, so get ready to read! After Agra, we had a 6 hour ride to Ranthambore National Park. It was nice to finally be out of the city, but the last hour and half was spent on roads washed out by the monsoon. Ranthambore is beautiful. Our hotel was cute, but they had 2 nights of folk dancing and fire breathing. Which wouldn't have been bad, except it was the same thing. Both nights. And we had no idea the story behind the dance. It was accompanied by an awesome pasta bar, so not all bad. While in the national park we had 3 jeep safaris. Going ... read more

11 hours and 30 mins. That is how far ahead the day is from my body. 2 o'clock in the morning I'm wide awake. 5pm in the afternoon, zonked out in bed. :) India has been a blast, everyone on the plane was telling us we'd either love it or hate it. Right now I'm in the love it boat. However, You will never catch me in a rickshaw again. I saw my life flash before my eyes about 5 times. The hotels we are staying in are gorgeous and the people are incrediably nice and ready to help. Delhi consisted of 1 day running around in the 6 seater bus(that may or may not have taken out a couple bikers and an autoshaw) seeing the sites. On our tour was the largest mosque in India, ... read more
