                    <title>to collect a tent</title>
                    <description>A couple of weeks ago an accident befell Alex39s new tent due to freak winds. So he and Ineke took it to a repair man on the Wirral and today we all went to collect it. It was well mended much to our relief and we spent a great day at the Wirral Country Park and the Marine lake at West Kirby  which is a man made lake for learning to surfboard and sail but noone trying it out today.</description>

                    <title>May Day</title>
                    <description>For several years I39ve wanted to go to the Green man festival at Clun but due to working on Mondays haven39t made it. Today dawned sunny and warm so off we went. Its a great bit of theatre as the Green Man meets the Ice Queen on Clun bridge and after a bit of a tussle  winter is driven from the valley.                     <title>Mum's birthday</title>
                    <description>Today is Mum39s birthday 88 years young. She and Dad went out for lunch and Alex and I called with a birthday cake candle and presents this afternoon. We had a jolly time and the sun shone.</description>

                    <title>Welcome to the world baby girl</title>
                    <description>Martha Emily arrived on Saturday morning at dawn. She and Sophie are both well Martha feeds happily and we are all pleased as punch. The days are full but mostly revolve around watching every move and gurgle she makes and we can39t say we39re that busy exactly. Tom has gone shopping with a long list of stuff for Martha as well as mundane food items for us. we await his return with interes</description>

                    <title>90th Birthday</title>
                    <description>We did it. The clans gathered from 4 corners of the world and we had a really good night. There were 90 people family and friends a band good food and a spectacular cake. In the end Dad had 55 or so cards and three celebratory meals before the party  one with Mum on THE day one with Alex and me Pat and Kerry the following day and yet another with Liz and Jerry on Friday when theyarrived. </description>

                    <title>Its been rather chilly</title>
                    <description>the last week and a good dollop of snow too. Alex managed to get to work by leaving the car at the bottom of the drive but mine was snowed in by the house so I got out a new jigsaw and turned up the fire We really had a lot of snow  we couldn39t even walk on the field for 4 days.                     <title>the iron  zoo</title>
                    <description>We needed to give Alex39s ankle a test before he goes back to work and I39d seen a bit in the paper aboout the Ironworks in Oswestry. So we went for a look. It was a bitterly cold day despite 4 days of summer before that but the sun came out for us. I believe that the animals are going to be placed around town as a safari trail.</description>

                    <description>Today I tested out my new old lady39s rail card  how come I39m old enough for one And I took a train through the beautiful Welsh countryside to the coast at Aberystwyth. Its a stunning ride through steep valleys and then along the beautiful Dovey valley. There was still snow on the hills and lost of floods too. I spent 4 hours in Aber mostly near the sea.                     <title>Barmouth</title>
                    <description>Alex had a day off today so we set off with two dogs  we still have a small and enthiusiastic visitor called Poppy or sometimes Blanket as she likes to hide under one while her Mum39s in hospital.                     <title>sunshine in Liverpool</title>
                    <description>Ineke returned from New year in Holland yesterday and I was going to pick her up from the airport in Liverpool. When I mentioned this to Lynda she suggested we went earlier and made a day of it. So we did. Had lunch in the chinese cafe we found last time took a tour on the open top bus and then climbed to the top of the cathedral and saw the sunset. And lastly collected Ineke spot on time.                     <title>wet wet wet ..... with some black ice thrown in</title>
                    <description>We39ve had a very cold few days and when it rained Friday morning on the cold ground it turned straight to ice. which was hard as I couldn39t turn the car round to get down the drive........ and i was taking Ineke and Caroline to Birmingham to see the Messiah King39s College and Age of the Enlightenment.                     <description>So some of you are roasting at 22 degrees. but it was absolutely gorgeous here today so we went for a walk at Dolanog 5 miles away. blue skies sun and clear views to the snowy mountains.
