Best to you and your family.
loved your blog I am from Brisbane and most people here love Byron too. And YES 3 days for Australia... unheard of!! ha ha. I have enjoyed reading your adventures. I have 3 kids too so found it entertaining. I have always thought about adoption and loved reading about your family and how happy you seem at making it work.
Wow This is a story that you will some day be able to laugh about. I know we can relate to it, more on a smaller scale in a theme park setting. I can only imagine, how happy you all must have been, the first night you got to be home once again and sleeping in your own beds
Hey guys What a wonderful journey!!! Your pictures are absolutely beautiful!! Especially the ones fromyour latest entry. I've been reading from the start but just figured out how to send a message. Take care. Elaine

Hello Dunbar Family
I've been catching up with your travel blog. What an amazing trip! Can't wait to get together and hear more. I wish Anna had access to a computer so she could read the entries as well. Rachel will have to fill her in personally.
Debbie, I hope you bought a sari for yourself I think you would look lovely in one. Thanks for taking the time to write the blog. Take care and stay
safe. Noemi
great pic's I really like the reflective picture of Rachel and the beach shots. Good to hear from you again. Love the blogs, spoke to Mark yeasterday about next years reunion. I hope you can still remember detail to share with us then.
WOW How incredible is it that the same people that were at Rachel's adoption years ago, are still there!! Henry, you are doing an amazing job - I am so enjoying reading all of the entries and seeing the pictures. Thanks for doing the blog! Debbie - it is quiet and boring here without you. Stay safe! Love, Anne
Most Amazing... I think these are the most amazing pictures thus far. I also think this must be an amazing journey for the kids. As an adoptive mother myself I can only imagine how many emotions both parents and kids are processing right now, especially the kids. I'm sure it's a joyful yet sometimes sad and poignant experience for all. Stay strong and enjoy everything this trip has to offer. We still miss you Debbie!
Wow! Hey, I just logged on to see what the Dunbar / Hill group was up to. I am amazed by your adventures and the pictures. I also laughed at Nam's comment about Debbie tipping too much and not being a very good haggler :) Too funny. I know I would be the same way. Stay safe and keep up the good work. This is the trip of a lifetime so I am jealous!

Yo! Hi Guys! Things are going fine in the hood. We missed you on the 4th. The trip sounds amazing so far. The picture of the kids in front of the Taj Mahal is definitely Christmas card material. Did you bring a Washington Post with you? Their photo could be published in the Kids Post. Hope Henry's feeling better. Can't wait to read your next entry!
How hot is HOT, anyway? What a good-looking crew~
Don't all those megatons of marble at least cool you down psychically? Is the lady actually buried inside?
I love the posters' changing voices. I bet the Dunbars get a book deal out of this blog.
love, Amy Naz.
I love this picture...the kids look great. What an adventure you have undertaken. I'm so impressed! We miss you Debbie....it's just not the same without your crazy duck calls! Keep the blogs coming because it allows us to travel vicariously through you guys! Lynn
Great blog entries! All, I've been catching up on your adventures after our vacation. The blog entries are terrific - keep it up! You should think about quitting your day jobs (and school!) to become travel writers. Can't wait for the next entry.
Have fun! -- Reid
News from RIFland..... I loved being able to read all about your trip today since I am sitting happily at home and not on some silly business trip or out on the Mall where they evacuated at 5 p.m. due to thunder storms. People will start coming back to the Mall about 7 p.m., and indeed the storm is passing over, sun is back out sporadically here in Alexandria. The BIG news in RIFland is that Thea Helen was born to Rebecca yesterday....7 lbs. 7 oz. and 20 inches long. Sue Ryan went by the hospital today to wish baby Thea a Happy 4th on her very first 4th...Rebecca's mother believes Thea's ear (not sure which one) is perfect according to Sue's report...in fact Sue said Thea's grandmother believes Thea is perfect, period; and Rebecca is smiling nonstop ear to ear! Thanks again for your wonderful blog! Carol
Celebrate the 4th!! Hello Dunbar family,
I've enjoyed reading about your adventures... from Nam's philosophical view about peeing in public, to Rachel's cross town traffic musings, to Lydia's thoughts and feelings about her ol' home town. Enjoy the rest of your trip and celebrate the 4th of July! Cheeseburgers and hot dogs for everyone!! Or, kheema and dhal! Indian's also share the need for celebrating independance from the British... although their day is different from ours.
No smell in basement Hey, I'm staying here and there is no smell in the basement! Noland is fine. I will write later about my adventures with Noland. Oh yah, he just goes in the cage in the basement at night (in the basement). I had to drag him in. Maybe he thinks it stinks down there. KK
I am 43 and live with my family in Northern Virginia, VA, USA (near Washington, DC). In the 1990s, my wife Debbie Hill (age unknown) and I adopted three children from three different countries. Our children are Nam, 16, from Vietnam; Rachel, 14, from Sri Lanka; and Lydia, 9, from India. In the summer of 2007, we are visiting their birth countries for a week+ each, and have side visits with friends in Spain and Australia on each end of the trip. We will take the unusual family summer vacation of completely circling the globe. This trip is meant to be cultural and educational, and not an attempt... full info
