Rome, what can I say about Rome, it was wonderful, it was a very buzzing city, we arrived at during the evening and went for a walk around, walked past the colosseum and i was amazed at its hugeness. It was massive. We walked around and to the centre of town and saw the Trevi Fountain, where you make three wishes mine didn't come true. It looked great under the lights, you saw Zeus in all his glory. We then moved on the pantheon which was this beautiful church they had just finished the service when we arrived. We then were told to go get dinner so my group wondered round and we found a place that was lovely and everyone was there so it was good, I had some really nice pasta and wine. Then ... read more

We made our way to Venice - the most romantic city, I do remember being very cold and windy. we had to catch a water taxi into the main island and we caught it with the other tour group so it was good to catch up, the ride was a little bumpy. We arrived and went straight to St Mark's Square where we had little tour and info session, we learnt about the pigeons aka 'the rats' they carry diesease and people let walk all over them a bit gross, we saw the bell tower but coudn't go in as it was closed. We saw the Doges' Palace and the Bridge of Sighs we also saw Basilica San Marco we went inside there and it was very pretty. We then went on the gondola ride around ... read more

From Munich we went on to Innsbruck, this was a lovely city and had a pretty great view from the town centre. There we saw the Royal Palace and Immperial Church, we saw the Golden roof at sunset and it was very pretty. We then went to the Swarovski Crystal place and had tour, thats where i spent a lot of euro, but as I went to pay I spoke in German and the cashier thought I WAS German and asked me where in Germany I was from, so I thought that was pretty great. We then did some more exploring and then went to the hotel for the night, we went down to the bar and tried some of the local Farmers Schnaps, and it burnt my throat on the way down. Then tried some ... read more

We arrived in Munich and we went to the hotel and settle in. We then went on the bus and went into town. As I was walking out of the hotel I slipped on the icey stairs of the hotel, on to my bum. Of course everyone was already on the bus and had a bit of a laugh. We were taken in to the city centre on of Munich and shown around. We saw the town hall which was amazing, then we went and had dinner at this place called Orlando's and has one of the best meals of my life. The menu was in German and the waiter had a bit of trouble translating so we all took a plunge and order something, I order the lamb. It camb out and looked good, it ... read more

After the morining in Amsterdam looking at the museum, we got back on the bus and headed towards Germany, on the way we stopped at the Dachau Concentration Camp, we were at little unsure of what to expect. When we arrived it was snowing and it was about minus 2. We all walked up through the gates and Aaron gave a quick talk about the camp. We then went and watch a video on the camp. It was a very raw video and I didn't realise how much people had suffered. We looked around the musuem and went in to the "shower room" where they use to gas people. I had a strange feeling and couldn't stand to be in there very long. I think we all left a little sad. Here is a website of ... read more

We arrived in Amsterdam in the afternoon, went to our hotel and settle in, I was rooming with Susan from Australia. We then went down for tea. We then got on the bus and took and cannel crusie around Amsterdam, saw Ann Franks house and lots of sights. It was really nice way to break the ice a bit. There was wine and beer and music. When we got off the boat we headed towards the city, Aaron took us around and showed us some buildings and places of interest. Then we went back to the hotel for a sleep.... read more

The first day of tour, we left on the bus about 7am to travel to Dover to get the Ferry to Calais in France. I already had met some people the night before at the meet and greet. There was only 34 of us so most of us had seats to ourselves. It seemed on the bus that everyone was friendly and warm. Aarron our tour manager, introduced himself to us, and broke the ice. I chatted to people near me and as the day wore on, we all just had about met each other. After our first toliet stop, we had speed meeting, in the the people in the asle had to move around, so all meet each other and had a good time. We got to Dover and went on to the ferry.
