This is the continuing saga of my trips in 2006 on my 2005 883 LOW Harley Sportster. This trip was taken 28-30 July 2006. This was my last free weekend in the KC area until NOV probably. With all my longer trips there were multiple ABC points sitting in AR that I had not had a chance to get yet. Seems every weekend I was heading the other 3 directions and had not made it to AR at all this year. I had missed my little day trips down there. I really enjoy a weekend in AR as the roads are twisty, shady and great views are frequent. Leaving after work on 16 June and then returning home 7K miles later on 2 July concluded my ‘Far West’ vacation. The map attached to the blog is not precise, it give the general idea of my route. Below is a brief as it gets ride report… I dubbed this trip Far West many months ago when I planned it, but it is not actually the farthest west trip I ended up making, from 8 -12 JUN 06 I rode from KC to CA and back, but this trip was in my GPS as FW (Far West) so it continued to be called that. I have been on a very few rides with the Central Midwest HOG group of which I am a member, the ABC ride, Poor Boy dinner ride, one breakfast ride and the Toys for Tots ride. The weekend poker runs and many of the events seem to always fall on weekends that I had other trips planned so I could not attend. I made it a point to get to the Easter Egg ride. As a thank you to a couple guys that watch my house when I am out of town I invited them to be my guests for the ride.
