Sure the US is a fine country with lots of really cool places and landscapes. But I have never in my life felt so at home as I have this semester in Angers. At one point during the semester I had set my mind on staying in France...going to school here and starting my life over http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-408896.html Germany comes to France HelloSo the semester has ended people have gone back to their respective countries and alas the world continues to turn. Most people went back home this past weekendhellip it was so sad to see my really good friends off at the train station Saturday and Sunday. Needless to say tears were shed. The last few weeks of school were absolutely amazing. The weather was gorgeous. Flowers were in full http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-406862.html Informal French Expressions Ok so my last two posts have had NO vocabulary wordsexpressions. My apologies So this post is nothing but a few phrases in informal French. Enjoy 1 le pieu bed Demain je reste au pieu jusqursquo midi Tomorrow Irsquom staying in bed until noon.2 Ne pas avoir un radis to have no more money Je nrsquoai plus un radis I donrsquot have any more money.3 tre ronde to b http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-401103.html Woot for for free museums until midnight Hello friendsI hope yoursquore doing well and that yoursquore enjoying this late spring weather. I surely amhellipas I am not a fan of the dead of summer in the South. Too hot for me.So last week I turned in my mmoire a really important paper which made me so incredibly happy. Though I was not a fan of the mmoire during the semester I was so proud of it when I finished. And I think I http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-400028.html Spring Break has come ... and gone ... So itrsquos been a while. My bad We had a two week vacation of which I took advantage to see my family and some friends that I hadnrsquot seen if far too long. And quite honestlyhellipI took about a week and a half hiatus of all things school related. I needed a break. Badly. The first week back to school was however amazing. I was so glad to see my friends here in Angers and to be able http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-395625.html Theater Normandy and Cinema. Woot. Hello everyoneI hope all is well and that your semester is not too hectic. Irsquom doing amazingly. This coming week is our last week of classes before our two weeks off so my professors decided itrsquod be a good idea to give me a test in every class but one next week. Not cool. But Irsquom nonetheless loving every moment here Every Saturday afternoon in March Irsquove had an Interc http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Lower-Normandy/Caen/blog-385800.html Spring weather is FINALLY approaching So spring is quickly approaching flowers are blooming the temperature is rising and spring break is a mere two weeks from grasp. Couldn't be happierA lot has happened these past two weeks though not all of it is really blog worthy... more so just the daytoday wonderful experiences in France. So here are the highlightsSchool has been going really well. I've had SOOOOO many tests the past http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-382894.html A wonderful week finished off by an amazing trip to Paris I think that in just a few short days I will have been in Angers for exactly one month. I must say that I feel as though I have just arrived. I am completely discombobulated by how quickly time passes. In a way I wish time would just freeze so that I could stay here forever. Yet on the other hand I have lots of dreams to go after... so I inevitably want to embrace the progression of time... Hmm http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Ile-de-France/Paris/blog-377735.html Yet another perfect week has passed me by... Well I think this is week three that is drawing itself to a close this weekend. It's kind of sad...that's it's passing by so quickly. This week was definitely a study week. In other words not much playing around outside of school. That is of course attributable to the fact that I had a lot of homework but more so to the fact that I wasn't feeling too well this week. Always tired though co http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-375562.html Hooray for France. Classes. and Salsa. So it's been exactly one week since I've last written and so much has happenedLast Saturday Amber and I went to the outdoor market just down the the street. It's held every Saturday morning in the same place and locals bring everything from funky smelling cheeses to antique livres. It's really cool. I was so mad that I didn't take my camera...the colors textures and shapes were incredible. E http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-373209.html Still alive and kicking So Amber and I have been here for about 45 jours at this point and I can honestly say I've enjoyed every minute of itJeudi morning we went on a tour of the campus where we will be diligently studying these next few months. It was definitely a bit bigger than I expected. I mean it's not a huge campus at all...just about the size of CC's campus maybe. But I don't know...it just doesn't look th http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-371044.html La premiere journee sur Angers Hello allSo today is my first full day in Angers and I must say...I don't think I ever want to leave. So yeah the first few days are always the most exciting. I know. But I think a study abroad experience or any experience for that matter is what you make of it. For example this morning was FREEZING. And bien sur it just had to rain when I had to walk to the university. But you know I loved http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/France/Pays-de-la-Loire/Angers/blog-370374.html Preparing for the big trip Well I am setting this blog up as my English version of my travel blog the EnglishFrenchSpanish blog mariearcher.blogspot.com just in case you want to check it out.Amber and I will be heading out of the USA on the 2nd of February just under two weeks away It's getting so close The closer it gets to our departure date the more excited and nervous I get...both at the same time.
