Spellbinding Hi Myrtle,
I can't believe your 4 weeks have passed so quickly. I've followed each link as soon as it appears. You have surely been a blessing to each person you meet. Your reports have opened my eyes far beyond the evening news (which has lost interest by now).
God bless and safe travels home.
Kathy
Friend Myrtle, It is so awesome that you are able to minister to those who are in such need. I am sure this experience must be incredibly hard on you, however we know that God has chosen you because of your stronghold beliefs.
I am praying for your safety and health and know that you are truly loved by so many here at home.
Love you,
Patty
Thank you for sharing! I work as a volunteer with the Social Networking Team for Numana, and it was exciting and encouraging to come across your recent posts here through a link on Twitter. I look forward to reading more of your writing, and we'll try to share some through our Twitter or Facebook accounts as well...do you happen to have any pictures of the food being distributed? Thank you and blessings!
It is not surprising for me to hear that you were able to bring comfort and support as you share the love of Christ with all those you encounter. We continue to lift you up in prayer and look forward to getting together for lunch when you return.
May 27 with the pic of the sequestered children is the latest post I see from you. I've been sidetracked lately with an ill sister-in-law who my wife and I are health care proxy to. Caught up now. As I have said before, I don't see anything here that is surprising to me. It is much as I recall it in Viet Nam with a few changes. You have potable water being trucked in and you have your "villages" which is better than I saw over there. But again, we were at war, not offering refugee assistance.
Although conditions are not the best and it's no four star hotel, I see that you managed a nice smile for the pic of you at the computer! The pic of the Soccer Stadium lights makes me wish I could be there to assist in their connection and help with operation of the generator. This would be right up my alley from my work in the Army back in 70-71. It seems that you are still in good spirits and you're getting the needed guidance from above. Keep up the good work and keep us posted. Hope all is well since you've not posted in several days.
Take Care and God Bless

So glad to hear you're doing well Hi Myrtle. It's so good to hear from you and know the Lord is blessing you as you serve Him in Haiti. My prayers are with you!!
Love,
Jen
I came across your Haiti post by accident but am curious to hear how it goes for you there. My friend was there for the earthquake and soon after was able to get back here to the US, but I'm interested to hear how things are going down there. I also have a travel blog and I'm sure readers would love to read anything that you can contribute from there. If you have the time and are interested, check it out dirty-hippies.blogspot.com, or email me at dirtyhippiesblog@gmail.com. Good luck on your travels!
Heather :)
With You You were with me when I needed you, but alas, I cannot reciprocate. I can only pray for you and be with you in spirit, my dear cousin. I have faith that He is with you and will guide you through this in His own way. You WILL succeed.
I am serving in Port-au-Prince, Haiti as an Emotional and Spiritual Care Officer for a Salvation Army camp of about 20,000 refugees, with a clinic and an unknown number of SA volunteers. This came from out of nowhere, so I'm sure it's a 'God' call. I am somewhat apprehensive about all this responsibility. However, I am centering on His promise to provide what I will need for those He brings to me. Prayer support will be appreciated.... full info
