Your weekend in Puerto Rico
I loved reading your blog. Funny I was born and raised in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico (North West) part of the island. I went to live in USA for 24 years and I returned to live back in PR 4 years ago. I sometimes feel like a tourist, because there is so much from this island I haven't seen or done. I have been to El Yunque rain forest it was amazing, I haven't been to Culebra Island but I hear is awesome. Old San Juan is one of my favorite places to go, love the old Spanish buildings, the streets and the Fort of Course the name is El Morro, the food in PR is so delicious, I can cook a lot of it. And I agree they do have the best PiƱa Coladas ever. If you can buy a can of Coco Lopez where you live it gives you the recipe just follow it and you will feel as you are back here. The fried plantain is called Tostones, the mashed plantain is called Mofongo. I loved your pictures and of course you won on the tan contest no doubt about it. If you ever come down to PR again try coming for longer time and go to other parts of the island, keep my email addy if you want to ask, My husband is good at telling directions. Then again you can also use a GPS. Try to go to Las Cavernas de Camuy (the town is Camuy) (google it), these caverns or caves are so amazing, its a nice tour. Not far from there is a town called Lares, they have an ice cream parlor that everyone who comes to PR has to visit, cause they make ice cream out of anything, rice and beans, onions, corn, squash, grapes, guava, even fish, they have regular flavors also. My favorite is the amaretto one with almonds MMMMMM, delicious. When you leave Lares, drive trough San Sebastian and hopefully the waterfall "El Salto Collazo" has lots of water, you can park your car and walk down and touch the water some people actually go on it. If you keep on going eventually you will get to where I live in Aguadilla, we have beautiful beaches.. My favorite is called CrashBoat Beach, there are others that are not as packed with people. Sorry so long, there are more towns but I'm sure you will decide which ones to go to. Thanks for your blog I really enjoyed it!

Al-Qahira gamiila
Wow..I was just searching on the internet trying to remember what kind of tea (green, brown, or black) they used in Cairo and one of the Google results pointed at your beautiful picture at the Khan...I just returned to the US from a study-abroad in Cairo and I miss it so much; your pictures really took me back :) Cairo is amazing, is it not? Beautiful city; I especially like your pictures of both the Khan and the Mosques...they're amazing. Bravo 3alaykii! :)

Seriously?
How many pictures does Chris have of himself on a "cliff" with arms wide open and the ocean crashing behind him? Hehe.
