Life on the periphery.....

The planned trip seems more like an expedition than a casual meander around the world.
Idea's, and dreams of visiting countries, and cultures, have finally bubbled over, from brief escapism , through to sporadic planning, and now finally to reality.
Having travelled much of Asia, Australasia, Europe and Latin America already, meeting many interesting people on the way, my dreams now destined to take me back East. The next adventures, and challenges that lay ahead begin towards the mystical, and spiritual realm of Nepal and beyond. The aim is to get off the well beaten backpackers track, and apart from my first destination, everywhere, and everything else is left to fate, destiny and chance.
A quote occured to me recently, as a friend uttered the words "you're not the same person I knew 5 years ago". I replied "it's not the years, it's the mileage"..
