A few observations in my recent trip to Rwanda and Nairobi: 1. You are supposed to have Yellow fever vaccination before entering these countries, but no one at immigration is bothered to check. 2. There is no loo on the airports after security check. So get in at the last minute. 3. Do not exchange currency at airports. You will get better rates in town. 4. Start negotiating, the moment you get down. They expect it. 5. Bike taxis in Rwanda are safe and cheap. Try atleast once in your trip. 6. If you are vegetarian, ask for Indian food. 7. The African women carry big fruits. Control yourself. 8. Shop for curios? Bargain hard - you may bring down the price from 3800 to 800 or less. 9. Rwanda is absolutely safe.
