Time to catch up!
You have a few countries left to tell us about, and I think it's time to do that! Not to ruin the story for your public, but I know you are in Europe now. Please tell us all the rest of the story...

Friends of Ethiopia
It is wonderful to see people loving my country and somethig about it in forums and blogs. From the North of Ethiopia which is much of historical route to the very south known for accomodating rich cultural scene, Ethiopia is a place of paradise. I believe you have visited the very best routs we have. I will be so sure that if some one wants to travel to the east Harar and Deri Dawa will be the most interesting and a place for fun. A place that the most dangerous animals who face lions will be very friendly to human beings. Well, Gwen I hope you will have beautiful experience in other parts of Africa as well as the world. I wish you all the best things in life! and thank you for having a good time in Ethiopia. Michael, From Addis Ababa, Ethiopia

Your mother agrees totally about attitude and expectations playing a major role in how much of a target you are. Well do I recall your dear brother casually dropping you off one night in one of the worst areas of the Bronx, so you could figure out your own way into downtown New York City. And how you, with your open and friendly attitude, asked a group of locals for subway information. Your expectations - helpful information kindly given - were met. "Her confidence is tragic; her intuition magic..." (But I don't think your confidence is one bit tragic!) All my love -- mom

Rough riders
As one of the dedicated who has watched all of your videos (multiple times), I am filled with respect and admiration for Nick for the type of driving he has been doing for ... 60,000 miles? After 7 minutes of sitting on the back of the bike as yourself, holding your camera, I don't understand how you don't have severe whiplash. As for Nick, I can see that every inch of road you have travelled has merited intense and continuous concentration. Bravo! And much love -- mom

Getting restless
Your fans are getting restless, waiting for the next installments. Good sources have it that you've been in Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda since your lthis entry. Maybe you need to write more and travel less! (Bad joke) Much love...

You guys are my heroes! Seriously, all the stuff you're doing looks too cool for words, but I would be waaaay to chicken for doing 99% of it on a bike! Your pictures are all beautiful and it's so much fun to read your blog. Be careful with yourself! I need someone back in NZ to visit!

Worry
Well Gwen, if your Grammie Beth were still with us she would be mega worrying about this latest adventure of yours. As it is, your Grandmother Spangler is probably doing a pretty good job of taking up the worry void but I will do my share and worry a little bit about you too. Your trip looks fabulous and am very happy that you are doing a blog. So keep up the good work and have fun! -- Uncle Bob
