Easing into Peru with Lima

081312So a long day of travel. LAX was jam packed and it took us about 3 hours to arrive at the gate. Since both of us are afflicted with Veganitis it was almost impossible getting something to eat at LAX. I would think there would at least be some kind of option but we had to settle with bagels and fruit which really isn39t that bad but will only get you so far for sustenance. Anywho w

Last year was my first trip to this aweinspiring beast of a mountain and this year it was even more of an enjoyable experience. The thin postholiday crowd was a lot easier to manage the weather was perfect sunny and clear and there was a crap ton of the white shit I do my best to ignore all the rich kids here with their brand new gear omnipotent smirks and lack of skiingsnowboarding abi

So I'm writing this entry several years after the trip itself but i just wanted to log it with the rest of my travels and shit. coolThis was the first real trip to another country for me other than to Canada so it was a pretty amazing feeling being on the other end of the globe. The moment I could see land from the airplane window I was stoked ...and looking for GodziraMy friend Adam whom

After seeing it featured in a several movies and watching a documentary on it we were inspired to go check out the Salton Sea and see what this area that was only like 3 hours east of San Diego and nobody in SD seemed to know of was all about. With camping equipment and dog in tow we headed to the AnzoBorregoBorrego Springs Desert to camp for the night. The campsite we found was virtually dea

My first time to Yosemite and it was pretty impressive. Having just got back from Europe and seeing so many impressive sites I thought I would have been not so amazed but it is by far one of the coolest places in the US. We didn't do too many strenuous hikes and we pretty stuck to the beaten path but we were still awestruck. It was a great time of the year to be there because it wasn't too bu

Dirt bike diarrheas.

Having only done at the most probably only 30 miles on a dirt bike in one trip I wasn't quite sure what to expect with an itinerary that planned for over 425 miles in 4 days. The starting point was in Hatch UT where we awoke to humongous storm clouds headed our way. Having not eaten or taking care of our number two duties we rush to put all our equipment on. Luckily once it was evident that

After getting off the train in Venice we could tell already that things were going to be hectic. It's never the easiest thing when our hotel isn't in walking distance. Having no idea that we were supposed to buy tickets ahead of time we just jumped on a bus and gave the driver a piece of paper that had our hotel name and address on it. The driver obviously knew we had no clue what was going on

After traveling through 4 countries in one day we made it to Lake Bled Instantly we found out how nice the people are in this little town. We arrived late but luckily the train station was adjacent to a bar where I asked a random group of people how to get where we were staying and they happily offered to drive us thereWhen we got to the hostel the receptionist was equally as nice and person

Yesterday we finally got some laundry done...it may have been the first time in a couple weeksWe also took a cruise along the Bosphorus strait...it stopped on the asia side of Turkey. I think just so you can say that you were in Asia We fought through hordes of people to get back and I had an dope ass fish sandwich straight out of the water. The locals were lining up for it so I figured it mu

After a very annoying breakfast in Budapest trying to fight through a shit ton of obnoxious teenagers that were staying at our hotel for food...we flew to Turkey and to our surprise received a meal on like a 2 hour flight...oh joyWe had trouble finding a hotel at first then we finally found a hostel that Lonely Planet recommended but it ended up being shit hole run shady characters.Getting to

We caught an early train here yesterday. We went through Slovakia without even noticing that our rail pass doesn't cover that country so it cost us about 35 Euros...whoops luckily we didn't get fined 100 Euros each. Not as busy as Prague and just as coolWe searched out one of the big attractions here which is the thermal baths When we arrived it was really confusing because we weren't sure was

Another town that unfortunately can only be described as "cute"

After a very pleasant train ride through the lakes district of Austria we stopped at Hallstatt where we took a ferry across the lake to get to the town. We found a guest house where the owner was super nice and they had a museum of items that were found at the bottom of the lake which included a number of Nazi and war relics He recommended a good restaurant so we went. I got fresh fish caught

Just over the border of Germany is Salzburg Austria. It was a cool town to see for a day. We had a lot of trouble finding a room for some reason which led us to walk a bit with our bags and then eventually just settle on staying in a 6bed dorm. Luckily there was only one other person in the room that night...who by the way was from Brasov Romania sounded a lot like Dracula and had a dash

We took a day trip to see King Ludwig ll's hood. The place he grew up in Hohenschwangau Castle was really cool on the inside it was very ornate with super detailed sculptures and the heating system was pretty rad...basically the heaters in each room had a crawl space leading to them so that they could be refilled with wood without disturbing whomever was in that room...could you imagine gee g
