I'm Impressed --- and Totally Baffled.
I read it in its entirety...you have a word misspelled in the third to last paragraph (left out an "s"). I probably understood about 1% of it, but it sounds very interesting --- and quite a challenge. I hope your learning continues to be both.

History + Photos...Great!
Your Dad came over lat night to get a PIN # for a new Ford (he plans to lease a new Edge), and performed some updates on your Uncle Doug's computer. I'm spending the evening of Veterans' Day (11-11) enjoying some of the things he fixed. It is a special treat to be able to view your blogs and photos quickly. The only time I was in Edinburgh was one day in the summer of 1949, and I don't remember much about it except that I loved it...I remember seeing the castle, but I doubt that I went inside --- I was about broke by then (but that's another story). Thanks again for the information and the photos!

Keeping In Touch
Yes I did read the whole article. Sounds interest, you will have to explain more of this to me next time we meet. Keep the funk alive. Uncle Tom

We like the pictures!
Good to see you are blogging again - and found time to share your trip to Edinburgh, although we know you have been pretty busy. Good pictures, and a lot of detail about Edinburgh and its castle - I didn know engineers could write so much about history! Grandma Schaper will want to read this, and Grandpa Miller will likely enjoy it because it will remind him of the time that he spent in Edinburgh in his youth!

What??!!
Mom read your log entry first and then came out into the kitchen and said to me that she didn't understand anything! Then I read it, and think I have some idea of what you are doing. Seems like a little more fun than sitting at a desk in an office building! I'm sure your colleagues at Baker Hughes in Mt. Pleasant can relate to this entry, if they are keeping up with reading your blog entries. I'm going to print out a copy for Grandma Schaper, who will read it three times and still not know what you are talking about! But you know her - she will enjoy it anyway. How about some pictures of Scotland, not just the well rigs in Scotland? (I know - you'll get to that.)

I'll be traveling starting tomorrow (9-26) through 10-14, but I hope to have occasional access to a computer and the world wide web, and to be able to follow your training and travels. Keep up the good work!
