On sunday morning I awoke to an e-mail telling me to wake up (thanks Kiran x), and a mild excitment about the next leg of my journey, a flight from Hong Kong to Clark in North Luzon, Philippines. For my last day and night of doing stuff in Hong Kong I decided to finally go to the peak, to see the view over Hong Kong. Although, I didn't head there until a little after 16:00, and by the time I had found the Peak Tram station, and queued it was already 18:00. Having felt as though I'd missed out on a lot of the things I wanted to see and do in Macau, I decided to take another trip over the Gambling islands. My intentions were to visit the same attractions that I had planned to the previous week, without rushing or missing any. So, the first step was to get up earlier and leaver earlier then before, last time I was on a ferry at 10:30, this time at 08:30. Sunday morning, the 15th of November and this first of the Cathay Pacific sponsored Race Days at Sha Tin Racecourse. The first of 10 races would comence at 13:00 and I left home a little before 11:00, and arrived a little after 12:00. On race days the MTR open the "Racecourse" station, which leads via a footbrigde straight onto the concourse of the track. After a day of being lazy again - which followed a day of mountain climbing - I decided I would get up and head to Macau for the day. I left the house around 09:00 and headed to Shueng Wan - not sure if that's the right spelling - but the Macau Ferry port anyway. Well, first of all a quick recap, I spent the weekend pretty much sleeping, eating and drinking with not much inbetween, so began to feel like a sloth. Last night was my first solo night out of my travels, and maybe ever actually. It is a strange thing going out alone, I'm not sure if I have done it before, in England or anywhere. But last night I did. After speak to my dad, he suggested I start in Wan Chai, find some bars there and see what happens. So, I shaved, showerd and put on my going out clobber. Today has been largely uneventful, my sleeping pattern has become rather odd. The day I arrived, hadn't slept much before so had a long nap in the afternoon, yesterday I awoke at 06:53 and after a busy morning, I again had a long nap in the afternoon. Day 2 in Hong Kong, After awaking at 06:55 - put that down to time difference not keeness! - I had a great cup of coffee, attempted to go back to bed but dad started talking to me, d'oh! Day one. "and on the first day the lord said; "Let their be light"... and there was." This has been a very long day so far, but not for any bad reasons. It started as Saturday 31st of October, and will run untill tonight, Monday 2nd November.
