Loved hearing about The Forbidden City
Oh, I was so glad you were able to see the Forbidden City! Now you will have to see the movie, "The Last Emperor" and it will bring the forbidden city alive for you! Amazing movie and can you get American movies over there.?? That was one of my favorite places to see in China! Love to you and glad you had such a memorable trip, Aunt Anne

Great Highlights!
Hey Honey, I just love that you've written down your adventures in such a delightful way. What a true world traveler you've become with such great stories and friendships! You forgot to mention a detail that I did not know until you told me - that China does not celebrate the New Year on Jan 1 as they use a lunar calendar. Their New Year is on Feb 12 - 13. What about Korea? See - I'm learning from your travels! Hugs, Mom

Loved hearing about your trip!
I enjoyed your trip to China and brought back some memories, too. Your duck dinner sounded wonderful and I remember the Peking duck we had was very greasy and had a plum sauce. When I cook duck I get rid of a lot of the grease first. i didn't like it much and ate most meals in our hotel and took bread and fruit with me to eat at noon. I bet yours was good, though. In Beijing did you get to see some of the sights like the Summer palace and Tieneman (sp?) Square? When I saw the city when they had the Olympics, I was amazed at how it has changed since I was there. We saw China before it had become modernized, so to speak! No cars and no American dress and etc. Sounds like your trip was wonderful and I wish I had seen Gulian, but have seen many pictures of it. Lucky you! You have seen so much of this world and I am so glad for you. keep it up and glad your back is better. We all had a great Christmas and was a wonderful day of togetherness. Now back to normal and lots of cold weather and snow. Am ready for Spring already. Keep posting on your blog and love to hear all about what you are doing. hope you can get some pictures on,too. Love and hugs, Aunt Anne

Size of cities
Glad you had a great time! How big is Busan compared to Geochang? And everyone here asks about crime over there. Do you feel safe in these places?

Grand pictures
Hi Honey! Just love all the pictures you've posted. Ireland seems like it will be hard to leave - except for that darn wind and rain. What a fun thing to do - have a scavenger hunt across a city! We'll have to remember that on our Caribbean adventures. I always wanted to go to Londonderry just because I adore the name. Too bad there wasn't a hostel close. Have a great time with the rest of your travels!! Hugs, Mom

yeah I was more going for an orange colored soda, and I was aware it was scottish but i was saying it is apparently wildly popular in australia, like the only brand that can compete with coke. Thanks for the comment!!

Hang in there...
Hey Grant, I have really been enjoying traveling with you on this journey. Your last couple of blogs have sounded tired and frustrated, but don't give in yet, keep running even if it is on empty, because tomorrow is a new day and a new adventure awaits...besides ANYTHING is better than sitting at THK and researching crap that means so little when you look at the big picture. So keep writing, learning, growing and have the adventure of a life time! Thanks for sharing, Lisa
