Greetings, We continue on here in Paleohora, and are really loving it here. Rented scooters yesterday and were out and about on the wld roads until the wind nearly blew us over when we rounded one curve so we made our way home. Heard this morning when I was out walking that the ferry is cancelled today due to high winds so we will return our scoots and explore a few more roads in the car. Just wating for Gord to have his breakfast. The last 2 places I have been able to find sheep milk yogurt which is really good. I am in the internet cafe right beside the hotel...this may be the last blog I post as this place closes after today. Looking into scooter and bicycle rentals today...there is a path along the coast I want to bike on. Day 16 and 17 Good Morning… Now where were we…ah yes, in our last exciting episode I was heading out to hike over the hill to the beach on the other side. It was quite the hike, the “hill” was very steep and the trail was, well, interesting. Attempting to catch the *&$%# Ferry to Crete “I tell you no take the feddy, the feddies here is sheet.” From Louisa, the morning after the night from hell. Day 13 and 14 Good Morning…it’s another beautiful morning here in Paradise at Kiotaro, our last day here, and though we are sorry to leave in a way we are looking forward to our Grand Adventure aboard the Ferry to Crete. Good Afternoon from Kiotari, We picked up our rental car outside the main entrance in Rodos and, after some fierce negotiations, managed to pay the price we were originally told! We like this car better, the gear shift is better placed…here’s hoping it will make for better shifting!!! Headed south from Rodos Old Town (from now on I’ll call it just Rodos, as the people here do) and immediately felt better for getting out of town! Day 9, 10 & 11.5 I got the brainwave to try writing this blog in Word then copy and pasting into the blog. Tried it out last night and it works. This way I can write a little each morning when I am at my most coherent. It’s hard to remember some things about a place, especially when you are already somewhere else and trying to write like you aren’t! Greeting! This will be a 2 part blog because I don't have the time to sort the pics yet...sooo many pictures, so little time I want to spend in this bar with the techno music blaring!
