'Lucky' bastards? - From: New zealand
Pete and Caroline Loved the blog - and brilliant to hear it is going well. What a trip! Very jealous. People used to say to me when I was about to go travelling, "Oh you are so lucky." But really, it's not about luck is it? You've worked hard to get out there and do this and so you deserve every minute of it! In short, you make your own luck. Good on you to still be travelling; there's just nothing better than being on the road eh? Take care you two. Live it, love it - and remember it. All the best Paul Kerry and Lily Rich

Animals and Pete don't mix - From: Inti Wara Yassi
It has to be said that Peter has a history of animal incidents and I feel that someone should have warned Caroline before their venture. There was the crazed hippo incident at Nakuru, the massed monkey attack at Samburu, the angry puff adder at Namutoni, the tent staining colubus crapper at Navashia, the wasp swarms of Etosha, the stampeding cows of Gcico and who could forget the divvi gerbil of Halali. All of these incidents had one common denominator - Pete. Put him somewhere nice and sheltered and walk away quickly. Have a great one guys, we're just off up to play on Napes Needle.

Peewee was on a boat and did not chunder? - From: Dogs, witches and sand dunes
I struggle to believe that Peewee was on a boat and did not chunder, Went to the lakes last weekend, Jo was doing some witchcraft, tree hugging thing so I got 3 pikes in and lots of paddling.(open fire on the lake side and lot to drink) Planning a dive this weekend in the good old North Sea apparently it’s worming up its up to about 7 degrees and visibility just out side of the mask, just look what you are missing. I think Neil is still in Canada back next week to his new job Have fun keep safe Bertho
