Love it! ........ Groete
Thanks (again) for sharing I love reading your blog and seeing your photos, Cilla. Your words give a real sense of place and of your feelings at the time, especially fleeting moments, like hearing people singing softly on a train. I also like your close observation of people that you'll never see again (probably, although you never know!), like the wizened Japanese lady... I am looking forward to the next instalment already.
All these places look so fantastic - glad it is not I that has to make the choice of where to live! Thanks for sharing - brings back happy memories for me. Enjoy your travels! love.
Wineprices in Rand = HIGH! (-: Liefde E xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Flies! Oh yes, this brings back a lot of memories. At first we laughed at people who wore those ridiculous hats with dangling corks and some who had netting covering their faces. Half an hour later we were in the shop buying them ourselves!
Thanks for sharing... Enjoying your blog very much. We were in the region a few years ago in March. It was incredibly hot then... and the flies!! Looks like you've gone at a better time of year. Look forward to your impressions of Uluru. We loved the sunrises and sunsets there most of all xxx
What a lovely description of your evening. You don't need photos. You have painted such a vivid mental picture for me. Here in London, we are on nodding terms with the neighbours on either side of us, one of whom has lived there for twenty years alongside us, but beyond that, we scarcely know anybody else in our street, let alone our neighbourhood! I envy you that community spirit.
Sop n Dop There was a whole lot more I could have said. we had such a fun evening. But as Jurie says some of the stuff I wanted to say was a bit close to the bone and I'm not sure any disclaimer like names and places have been changed would offer protection. It's amazing how fictional and entertaining real life is. xxx
Visit to Malagas Thanks for the blog post. It brought back good memories of our river trip, even though we didn't quite make it all the way to the pont because of the low river levels.
Next time, make you you get those permits before you "tramp" in the reserve!
KEEPING US INFORMED - MUCH APPRECIATED! THANKS FOR YOUR INFORMATIVE BLOG VERY SPECIAL - ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF THE TRIP - WE WISH YOU WELL.
HAVING A LOVELY DAY OF SUNSHINE IN THE CAPE - ALL GREEN AND LUSH
DownUnder Again Jip! I agree. This is a marvellous way to preserve memories. I kept detailed notes in my diary last year about our New Zealand trip so the detail is not lost but so unappetising. Check out the Blog To Book function in Travelblog. I wish I had captured my NZ trip in blog formatt so that I can 'Book' it.
RE: DownUnderAgain What a long journey, especially coming so soon after your Comrades triumph! Hope you recover from the jet-lag quickly and start some serious relaxing. Well done on doing the blog. We should do something similar, because we too end up with hundreds of photos at the end of our holidays and we can't remember where they were taken!
Every 15 months or so we hit the global trail. We take photos, meticulously keep notes of which number is which photo, and note what we were doing at the time; forgetting of course about time lines and getting us and the camera hopelessly muddled on the dates when we return to civilisation. We zealously collect brochures and little scraps of momento's for the all time scrap album.
Alas the photos get stuck into their little meaningless date folders and we have our little arguments when we go through the photos about what happened where and when to the utter boredom of our loved ones; who ... full info
