| 13th November 2008 Julie Bolan | - From: Days 25-26: Luxor, Egypt Dear Chris Things have been a bit hectic lately and I have not been keeping up with your blogs. By now (November 13) I am sure your tour has ended but I just had to make comment on a few things. I too would be hyperventilating if I attempted my first dive! You did a great job and will have to fill me in on the technique when you get home. Your Mt Senai blog was very amusing, I laughed as I pictured you trudging up the Camel Path. And finally Mcdonalds in Egypt what can I say other than I hope you had chips! A few tibits from home, we officially merged with St George today and I sat my first ever uni exam........... so glad that's over. Let us know where you are and I really want to know how much your back pack weighed.... Lots of love Julie xxxxx |
| 12th November 2008 Ryan | You ate Maccas! - From: Days 25-26: Luxor, Egypt Hi Chris, Looks like you are still enjoying your tour.. I am more proud of the fact that you ate at my favourite restaurant... Take Care, Ryan |

| 21st October 2008 Jules | Your photos are great !!!! - From: Day 8 : Goreme (Cappadocia), Turkey Dear Chris Don't worry camping was never going to be your thing and I think you like me will get more out of checking out hotel rooms than setting up tents! Your photos of the hot air balloons and country side are spectacular, you look well and I can see you are having a great time. Only one thing I thought I'd mention as you continue your journey, you know you can always post me home some fine pottery........ if you need money Ryan and I will find a way to send a MT103 to you! Seriously though if you see something that is beautiful and a bargain buy it and ship it. LOL Jules xxx |
| 10th October 2008 Clara | i'm so proud of you - From: Day 2-3: Selcuk, Turkey Hey Chris, I am so proud of you ... and am loving hearing your blogs!! do me a favour!! If you get a chance take a photo of Mount Ararat ... fact for you - what turkey is now is what Armenia used to be so Mount Ararat was ours .. I'd love a photo if you could grab one! Love Clara |
| 7th October 2008 Jules | Day 2 and you are in a room............ - From: Day 2-3: Selcuk, Turkey Dearest Chris I had higher hopes for you I really did, my fingers and toes were crossed. I envisaged you as a seasoned camper engaged in who can put up the tent fastest competitions and teaching others how to get the sleeping bag in the cover very fast tricks - just like putting together a Pickfords box in 20 seconds. Lets have a small wager I will buy you a cocktail of choice even 2.......... if can you do 15 days straight in a tent???? Love and kisses JB |
| 7th October 2008 Jules | Oh I so wanted to see you with a shovel digging your own toilet - From: My Overland camping holiday begins.... Dearest Chris I am so impressed and I so wanted to see you with a shovel digging your own toilet. I would have also liked see your face when you first surveyed your camping ground on Day 1 (you will become accustomed as time passes and be less fun to watch) and to watch you pitch your tent. There are just so many moments in your story that make me smile and make me hope you have taken some videos so you can show me when you come home. You go girl! |
