The End Thanks Giddyup and Tagalong for the great TravelBlog. So much fun to open your chapters each night and read about your adventures. Your pictures only added to the interesting 'read'. You really should try your hand at publishing...I know you want to be the 'master of nothingness',
but just imagine...you could be another Mark Twain. ;>)
Armchair Vacation Has it really been 19 days? You made us feel like we were riding in the back seat. Thank you! Now we can save this year's vacation money for something else.
Welcome home!
Pat & I enjoyed your trip very much! We felt we took the journey with you guys. We just came from a KofC
0730 Mass get-together at IHM. Turn-out about 20-25 members. Non-
fattening doughnuts were served! Pat and Wally Mooney
It's so true about the alcohol in Wyoming I am looking forward each nite to your journal, Konrad. You do a great job of describing everything, so I am right there with you guys. Our daughter Karla married into a Wyoming family-lived in Cody, and now Billings, but they are all a bunch of boozers! Those long winters will do it to you, and all that open space. Today was our 55th anniversary, and you are doing what we should be doing, but we went to Max's tonite, and during the day we worked on getting an apartment ready for new tenants. You do what you have to do-or at least that's how we see it now! Listen to those ladies directing you! Drive carefully!
GPS Lady Watch out Giddyup...that GPS Lady is in charge and she means business....you want to get home don't you?!?! Wycoming looks
wide open with lots of sagebrush and wind whipping around!
Amazing how the scenery changes within a few hundred miles!
How was the saloon?...........Pat ;-)
We're SO EXCITED................. .............because of your excellent rendition of places and events, we are definitely following your lead into the wilderness next year. Sounds awesome and very, very enjoyable. You need to be published Kon !!
Lost (Day, that is) Rejoice, Rejoixe, we can all breathe easier now and will certainly celebrate your finding the Day That Was Lost (tonight's Fish Feed).
Keep 'Em Rollin.
Amazing Pictures! You and M are seeing some amazing sights! Feel so happy you are sharing your ventures and silly stories...still see you riding off into the sunset...you and Montana!......We look forward to more chapters in your colorful travelog! Enjoy! hugs, Pat
Hey, Day 6 Appears! Thank goodness the Day 6 appears! Whew...hate missing chapters!
I can just hear you singing 'Rawhead'....better yet, I can picture you in
your cowboy hat, sitting on your horse 'Montana', riding into the sunset.
Enough....on to the next exciting chapter! Hugs, Pat
to the author Hey Kon, love your blog. We are reliving our trip thru you. We did not go to four corners though. Refused to pay to see a cross in the sand :>). We really loved the drive over the San Juan Parkway. Keep up the good work. B
Your Day 9 You passed up a chance to do some 4-wheeling, possibly even in snow,. hard to believe. (Or doesn't your SUV have 4X drive?)
Mixing Margaritas and Dos XX beer, boy are you brave. At least the beer is a good one. (Don never seems to get any for meeting/dinners.)
Enjoy.
Awesome! Your descriptions are pretty darn good Giddyup! Your stories...so,so!
Your trip is full of beautiful areas of our good 'ole US of A. Keep the
travelog coming! We, your public, are enjoying every morsel....Pat
I'm soooooo sorry That I had the nerve to underestimate you and M.
Wonderful story; not what I'm used to reading, (mostly technical details of the Mikados.)
Now that EVERYONE knows I doubted you, contnue to have fun and keep all informed.
Durango and "cielings" I can't (read don't want to) believe you were in Durango and didn't take the Narrow Gauge train to Silverton (?), Shame on you, as a old ferrooequinologist, I hereby officially chide you for not doing so.
As far as "cielings" go, do you suppose I might have some of these in my house?
Keep these coming, very entertaining and, believe it or not, enlightening.
Great Trip Journal! Hi You Two! Just had to write and tell you how I'm enjoying your trip. I know you've travelled everywhere but I have to tell you I'm enjoying this the most of all your journals. You are gutsy travellers! I'd never go anywhere 8,000 feet-- only when ascending on an airplane! Take care, be safe and keep writing. Looking forward to next entry.
Your Thrill Ride Wow...the chapters are getting exciting! And the pics are terrific...so much better than postcards!!! Sounds like you are having a grand time in the 'old west'. I bet some of those towns out in the middle of no where can tell a few stories! Didn't realize some of those places had such high altitudes...take it easy old timer! Watch out M ...that GPS lady and Kon seem to be getting on pretty well. Enjoy you two! Love the logs...keep 'em coming! Hugs, Pat
Las Vegas Your Las Vegas comments came at the perfect time. Elizabeth left Friday night for 10 days at nearby Nellis Air Force Base. Your descriptions helped her catch up on all the new sturr before heading out.
Day 4 In your next life you are going to have to spend more time in each park, preferably when it's cooler.
Keep the narritive and pictures coming, they're great. I've been entertaining the idea of binding them into a travel book, will wait for your last blog and return before seeking a publisher.
Pulpit announcement, all Masses, about Family Mass, also about dinner this coming Wednesday. Father had a comment about the "pasta and meatballs for the non-fish eaters". Complimentary.
Really good read! Hi to the two of you! I look forward every night to reading about your trip. I feel I am there with you! The photos are great too! I would be car sick, unless I did the driving. We have never been to any of these parks, so it is really interesting! Thanx for the travel log. Enjoy your next day! And watch those high altitudes-take it easy!
The booze trip Hey, are you drinking your way across the nation!! Sounds like you are having a good time doing nothing. The best way to do a trip. Hugs
Redwd-Vegas Well Congratulations, you and your wife now know why the Thunder Valley Casino (no. of Sscramento) bills itself as the "Vegas of the West".
They may be reached by a drive that sstarts in the Bay Area, as did you, and gets hotter as you approach, The differewnce is they are only (approx.) 139 miles and twoand a half hours away. Perhaps that's why I haven't been to the NV Vegas in over 15-20 years. Reno is also closer and more to my liking, temperture-wise.
Enjoy the Southwest, it's B I G !
I'm a travelin' man, married for a loooonnng time to a wonderful and mostly patient woman, have adult children, and, best of all, four grandchildren.... full info
