While watching the Foodnetwork channel I got an idea to see if any Candy factories or unique Candy stores was in our city. After searching the internet I came across the web page for the Candy Lounge. I must admit the colorful graphics of the page drew me in and the promise of 50 diffrent types of soda from diff http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Texas/San-Antonio/blog-427410.html WICKED Yes I read the book I was thrilled to find out my new neighbors wanted to see this show just as much as I did. They also had the hook ups for tickets since the worked at the Majestic theatre a few years back. We had corprate balcony seats. I guess that means you get access to the skylite lounge to order cocktails and a waitress comes around to your seat during the show. An intresting fact that http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Texas/San-Antonio/blog-413540.html Pretty Fredericksburg TEXAS Since we have moved to our new destination in Texas I have been wondering if I have given this country a fair chance with traveling destinations. Sometimes I feel a little guilty by always wanting to leave the country instead of exploring it I decided this year I was going to do just that not to mention traveling in my own home land during a recession is good for my budget and good for the econom http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Texas/Fredericksburg/blog-384024.html Sea World in Dec I once thought Sea world was an overpriced aquarium for fish but I was WRONG There is so much to do in this place. This being our 1st time living in Texas decided to go check it out. I'm not into cattle but anything thats a new adventure is always fun for me plus it gives me something to blog about. Since it was going to be an all day event we decided we would split the day up in two parts to give the kiddies a rest. That way we http://www.travelblog.org/North-America/United-States/Texas/San-Antonio/blog-371615.html Namiseom island This summer's traveling has been a little bit discouraging due to all the rain. However I have had one fun trip this summer to Namiseom Island. It was set up by the Hannam Village church. The guys got to go participate in paintball and the ladies went to the actual island itself which is about 2 hours by bus outside of Seoul. The island was full of trees and alot of things to do like a train ride http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Gangwon-do/Chuncheon/blog-308436.html Gelato and Fruity drinks Catching up on a back log entry because I just recieved the pictures from a friend. We had gone out that night just do get out and do something. Scott's coworker took us to the Rodeo Dr of Seoul. It was very cool to see all the western influences and how the Koreans standards of status revolves around name brand things made in America or for the Americans. That includes food and clothes I was sur http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-283632.html Korean War Museum This Museum was everything but BORING meaning even if your not into history stuff this is still a great museum to go see. Plus the price is amazing for what you see I paid 5000 won for our party of 3 today. I thought it was going to be cheesy and i would have to beg my kids not to whine but I was wrong We spent 3 hours in it and my kids still didn't want to leave There is a ball museum there t http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-270198.html Seoul tower Winter months make it tiring to travel outside with the kids but time is not on our side. We have so much to still see in S.Korea We took a taxi allthe way up as it was cold and snowy. Notice the lack of color in the pictures this is a typical of winter here. We definitly need to come back at night to see it lighted up http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-245153.html All you can eat and Good byes It's been busy lately so we haven't had many new outings to write about. Starting a new job hasn't left alot of time to spend with friends either. Today a very good friend named Rosie is leaving tomorrow. So the Hannam mamas decided to go out to eat one more time. We all love the the korean special of grilling your own meat and vegetables at the table. I was skeptical as I originally wanted to see JUMP for months but I was happy to actually happy to have tickets to atleast one of the two best known shows in S.Korea. I also was not sure the kids would last through the perfor http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Gangnam/blog-218681.html Partying up on my Bday My Birthday week was AWESOME Why Because I have amazing friends and a great hubbyPlus everyone from back home spoiled me as well with cards and calls. Everyone knows I EMBRACE my right to celebrate my life on my birthday every year with more excitement than a regular person. Hey if yo http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-216445.html Walking around on Saturday This is for our family and friends. We like to walk around our neighborhood on Saturdays. we usually pop in at one of the Paris Baquette Bakeries and stop to try a new type of Korean ice cream from a side store. The children like looking at the fresh seafood thats still ALIVE in the tanks outside the restuarants. No need to go to the aquarium here Yes we even have 7 elevens here http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-214651.html How to do a Cheap Lunch in S.Korea Today the kids and I wanted something diffrent than sandwiches for lunch. Everyone back home knows all about the Kimbap that Lina eats all the time. So here are the pictures Its very cheap too We bought 2 Kimbap rolls and a bucket of spicy noodles 2 permisons along with a bag of chips and it all costs about 4.50 cents. We love the buckets of spicy noodles. Put in a slice of Kraft american http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Itaewon/blog-213002.html Field trip in the Mountains My son's 3rd grade class went on a field trip close to Seoul somewhere in the mountains to learn about using plants to naturally dye cloth. Nobody seemed to know the exact name of the location of where we were at and it was such a shame because it was a unique and diffrent expeirence to do. As soon as the children got off the busses the had one assigned Korean intstructor to lead them to an ar http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-212414.html Waterpia Saturday we woke up and we cooked American pancakes...because I am such a good traveler that I know to pack some food items to keep my kids happy and my hubbies pocket happy too o After breakfeast we headed across the street to Waterpia which is a water park that is awesome Only because it has wonderful spa things that can be shared among the family and keep ME very happy as well. One of those was the Lotus latern festival. Truthfully because all the pictures I've seen are so pretty and I had to see it myself I'm not a follower in Budha but I can respect the idea of world peace. I even put of going on a free trip to Japan to see itIt did no http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/blog-208399.html Fun Area to go on a Saturday Sometimes taking a short trip to a close by area is a cool thing to do here. This particular Saturday we flagged down a taxi outside the gate and went to the Artsy area in Seoul known as Insadong. On saturdays they block the streets from cars entering so thats a good day to take your kids as well. There were alot of shops dealing with tea and tradintional lil rice snacks you would eat wit http://www.travelblog.org/Asia/South-Korea/Seoul/Jongno-gu/Insadong/blog-207659.html Jim Jim Bah Now that I have this blog up and going I am going to backtrack some of the cool things we have done this summer in S.
