Plans are starting to come together and contact has been established with a number of family and friends who are current over in the US. Visited downtown San Francisco yesterday talking in the sights of Union square whilst enjoying a relaxing beer all be it Low Carb and Low Calories. Then visited Chinatown and the Goldern Gate bridge before heading back to Martinez for Chinese one of the restaurants special dishes was Paradise in Bird's Nest which was quite apt. We have now come full circle Michael Palin style and are back recharging in Martinez after 2000 miles of driving. On Monday we head out on the Amtrak train to Salt Lake City on what will be a rather long 18 hour journey. In the time since our last update we have been down to Malibu Huntington Beach Las Vegas Fresno and Yosemite National Park. Along the way we have seen the natural beauty of Utah experienced the laid back lifestyle of New Orleans and the inside of Chicago O'Hare airport. Florida was extremely hot and not looking its best after the hurricane especially Punta Gorda. The force of nature hey.
