So my so called career has now begun and I am now in my fifth day of training. Exactly eight days ago we touched back into Heathrow (about 20 minutes, in theory from where I am at the moment). I think both of us were in agreement that it was nice to get back to green England and the weather was quite superb. However after a week of getting up at 7am in the rain (this morning) the holiday seems quite a long time ago now. So since the last update from Boston we headed down to New York for our final days in America, this coincided with the Republican National Convention. Left Florida on Tuesday for Boston where we are staying until Sunday (tomorrow night) from there we are off to New York before heading home. Florida was extremely hot and not looking its best after the hurricane, especially Punta Gorda. The force of nature hey. Boston has been a change though thanks mainly to the lack of humidity and culture. Take care and next update will have photos I promise!... read more
Our trip has continued through the states of Utah, Illinois and Lousiana to our current location in Orlando Florida. Along the way we have seen the natural beauty of Utah, experienced the laid back lifestyle of New Orleans and the inside of Chicago O'Hare airport. Anyway just about to hire a car from Florida to help us escape the English dominated Orlando. More photos next time, until then stay cool.... read more

Hello to you. We have now come full circle, Michael Palin style and are back recharging in Martinez after 2,000 miles of driving. On Monday we head out on the Amtrak train to Salt Lake City on what will be a rather long 18 hour journey. In the time since our last update we have been down to Malibu, Huntington Beach, Las Vegas, Fresno and Yosemite National Park. There are many stories to go with our times but unfortunately too many for this short update, we hope the photos can enlighten you a bit in the time before we return.... read more
Currently in Santa Barbara after coming down through San Fran, Monterey, Carmel, Pebble Beach, Big Sur and now about to head off towards LA to pick up Dave before heading off to Vegas. Weather is great although getting hotter all the time as we head south. Met some cool people along the way including a book author who has a film out soon, a well keen tennis player and a very intense professional photographer. Today is the day that we pick up the hire car, a Hyundai Elantra. Visited downtown San Francisco yesterday, talking in the sights of Union square whilst enjoying a relaxing beer, all be it Low Carb and Low Calories. Then visited Chinatown and the Goldern Gate bridge before heading back to Martinez for Chinese, one of the restaurants special dishes was Paradise in Bird's Nest which was quite apt. Anyway off to pick up car before heading down the Pacific Coast on highway 1, whilst on route we hope to pick up Dave Moorhouse before heading to Las Vegas. Until next time take it easy.... read more

So it is 20 days before Tommy and myself head off from London Heathrow to fly to San Francisco. Plans are starting to come together and contact has been established with a number of family and friends who are current over in the US. Roll on the 25th!... read more
