| 17th October 2009 Rob Redden | Prayers and thoughts - From: Worship in a Dry Land Hello Jensens, Thank you for your updates, and I am so thankful to the dear Lord that Jacob is doing much better. And, yes, George, reading your description in this travelblog makes me appreciate the comforts of America. I hope we never take them for granted. God bless your work and your health. Love, Uncle Robert |
| 8th October 2009 Cindy | Thankful - From: Worship in a Dry Land Thank you for the encouraging words, George. Your family is a blessing to all you know. We enjoyed seeing Julia last week and are thankful for her safe return to you all. We're also thankful Jacob is better. Love to you all, and looking forward to seeing you again! |
| 8th October 2009 Ed Crookshank | We can identify! - From: Worship in a Dry Land Sorry to hear about Jacob being sick. However, we are glad that he is better. If he lost 10 lbs. he must have to stand in the same place twice to see his shadow. We sure can identify with your trip. We appreciate the work you are doing. Ed & Lina |
| 7th October 2009 Steve Holcomb & Family | Hello - From: Worship in a Dry Land Hello George! Glad Jacob is getting better. Thanks for the words. We definitely take too many things for granted at times. I try to remind myself to be thankful for what we have. It was good to see Julia last week. Missed the rest of the family! Take care and God bless your family. Steve |
| 7th October 2009 Heck Family | Thankful for Jacobs recovery - From: Worship in a Dry Land Dear Jensens, We are so very thankful to hear that Jacob is recovering. That boy didn't have 10 pounds to lose! Thank you for sharing your day of worship with us. It does remind us of what we have to be thankful for and also makes us feel more in touch with you all. We are praying for you constantly. We are so glad Jewels is home safe and sound! We miss you and love you! Dustin wants you to know we have a new "stray". A Boxer named Duchess. She is very skittish, but is taming down. Love, Debbie & David, Joshua, Candice, Robert and Dustin |
| 7th October 2009 Kathryn | Thankful - From: Worship in a Dry Land We are so thankful that Jacob is doing better. We fuss about so many little things sometimes and forget the most important--being together with other Christians for the mutual edification gained by so doing. Thank you for the reminder! Love to you all~ |
| 14th September 2009 Pam Campbell | Voice from your past - From: Hello George and Joy, What a surprise when I typed in "Where the Saints meet". I saw the name Jensen and thought I wonder if this is the Jensens I remember? Clarence and I went to preaching school with you and we were neighbors. How wonderful to hear of the work God is doing through you and your family. We are in a domestic mission field in New England. South County RI. God Bless. Love in Him, Pam |
| 11th September 2009 Laura & Amy Jensen | ewwwww... - From: Tales of Mice & Men not hungry now!!! |
| 5th September 2009 Kathryn, Nathan, Miles & Silas | Our Comments - From: Tales of Mice & Men I read this post to the boys and they agreed that the fur would be the hardest part to get down. They have eaten bones in salmon so that could be dealt with--but fur!!!??? They agreed that they would prefer to try ox brains over mice! Thanks so much for keeping us updated on your life there. We sure enjoyed our extra daughter at PTP! Love you all, Kathryn & crew |
| 5th September 2009 Allan Shafer | MMM MMM Good - From: Tales of Mice & Men Of all the blogs you've sent so far I believe this one is by far the one that choked me up the most. I will be looking at those corn "dogs" at the county fair in a little different light. |
| 4th September 2009 Donna White | Mice on a stick - From: Tales of Mice & Men Hi Joy, Enjoyed reading this story. Time permitting, I think I will read it to the ladies at our first Ladies Bible Class this next Wednesday, before our Potluck Luncheon :) Love to all... Donna |
| 4th September 2009 Debbie | Ick - From: Tales of Mice & Men Perhaps I would have enjoyed your post more if I had not sat down to read it while eating my breakfast. Ahem.... |
| 3rd September 2009 Rebecca | - From: Tales of Mice & Men I'm all about those pork chops on a stick, but I agree that a mouse may be a bit much!! Maybe I should tell Andrew though, that it's wasteful when we have a mouse in the house, to kill it then throw it away. We could be feeding our family a rare treat! :D I'm glad your trip has gone well and know your family is very happy to have the two of you back with them. Love you all! |
| 3rd September 2009 Amy Hester | foraging - From: Tales of Mice & Men Hello to all the Jensens! Thank you for the insightful blog to keep us "plugged in" to all your experiences. When I got over my disbelief, I could see the mice-on-a-stick as a means of survival for these indigenous people. "Unless you believe, you will not understand." - St. Augustine, 354 AD - 430 AD. We love to forage too, but dandelion and plantain are about as far as it goes! Paul just returned from a mission trip to the Marshall Islands. The natives fed him fresh coconut, red snapper and noni fruit. Maybe not what he would have eaten here at home, but he didn't go hungry. I trust God it caring for you through all your new experiences as well as trials, even if you can not always distinguish one from the other. Blessings Always, Amy Hester |

| 27th August 2009 windell | - From: Mobile Bible School The concept of teaching and bringing those "thirsty for righteousness" in without "gimmicks" is refreshing to hear.
