Copeland track guide - From: Coping with the Copeland
Hi Stuart, Sorry for that slow response we're not actually travelling now, so check the blog very rarely. Anyway just in case you still need to know about the Copeland track here's what I know. We didn't actually cross the Copeland Pass, we were there in mid-winter and that is a considerable undertaking requiring crampons etc. We followed the Copeland Track from the West coast up to the hot springs (a day walk in), stayed overnight in the hut there and returned out the next day. I'm not sure about the Hooker Glacier, but I would guess a guide would be needed unless you are experienced in that kind of terrain. hope that helps/or you've enjoyed your trip if you've already been. Cheers Geoff

Maori moka - From: The north of NZ and then off
Hi There. I was just leaving a comment regards the Maori Moka photo. I was googling the net when I came across your photo. I dont mean to seem rude, but as I am a Maori and originate from New Zealand, I just wanted to help you fix your spelling mistake of Moka.As I realise many people must view your travel blog on a daily basis. The correct spelling being Moko. Anyway I hope your travels are going well Regards Maria

Well you two you're nearing the end of your amazing trip. Take care of all those weird animals in the Galapagos Islands won't you. Granny's really worried as she saw a documentary about the islands on TV recently!! She said that's one place she wouldn't like to go for sure! Have a great finale anyway and look forward to seeing you when you're back in England.

Kho Tao - From: The shark infested waters of Kho Tao
I went to Kho Tao in 1999 and it was the most wonderful week of my life. The Scuba diving was amazing with Big Blue, we dived the Japanese gardens which was really cool. To be in a place so cutoff in this crazy fast paced world was absolutely amazing. The tranquility was to die for. i ahve returned to Thailnd many ties since then but never quite made it back to Kho Tao, but I will!

Magnetic termites - From: Luscious Litchfield
Hey, has anyone bothered to check whether the termite mounds point magnetic north-south or true north-south? Or is it so approximate you can't tell? You are right with the Darwinian natural selection explanation about their behaviour, though. For instance, if your dad was dumb enough to get himself killed before he passed on his genes to the next generation, then it's likely you will too. Oh, hang on...

Paradise - From: In search of beautiful Thai islands ....
Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye!!! Come to Ladram Bay East Devon - has the stacks and a lot less expensive on the travel! No I'm only jealous. Don't believe Jenny - Vicki is just an email acquantance and is a bit thick and needed a bit of help with organising our taxi to get us to and from our boat on holiday. I didn't think I should rub her nose in it so used my charm instead. Far less stressful. Jenny was worried that they would be left at the airport because Vicki had only booked a taxi for two. Anyone could have made that mistake!!!!
