| 1st October 2007 Jenny | Near the end - From: There be gold in them there hills!! Well you two you're nearing the end of your amazing trip. Take care of all those weird animals in the Galapagos Islands won't you. Granny's really worried as she saw a documentary about the islands on TV recently!! | 22nd September 2007 Nigel | Kho Tao - From: The shark infested waters of Kho Tao I went to Kho Tao in 1999 and it was the most wonderful week of my life. The Scuba diving was amazing with Big Blue, we dived the Japanese gardens which was really cool. To be in a place so cutoff in this crazy fast paced world was absolutely amazing. The tranquility was to die for. i ahve returned to Thailnd many ties since then but never quite made it back to Kho Tao, but I will! |
| 23rd August 2007 beryl | photos - From: Te Nikau Nostalgia Amazing photos with great angle uve shot from. Brilliant. |
| 12th August 2007 Martyn | Blog - From: Conservation comment I see that the blog is finally coming back together. The 404 error I got last week was a shock, I knew it would spell disaster! Fortunately the caches everywhere are coughing up content, slowly but surely. |
| 12th August 2007 Martyn | Magnetic termites - From: Luscious Litchfield Hey, has anyone bothered to check whether the termite mounds point magnetic north-south or true north-south? Or is it so approximate you can't tell? You are right with the Darwinian natural selection explanation about their behaviour, though. For instance, if your dad was dumb enough to get himself killed before he passed on his genes to the next generation, then it's likely you will too. Oh, hang on... |
| 12th August 2007 Martyn | Email - From: Aotearoa Land of the Long White Cloud Hey, you guys, your Yahoo email isn't working. Doh! |
| 30th July 2007 Granny | Fantastic! - From: Slick Sydney What amazing adventures you have had in Oz. Seeing pictures of places whose names have been familiar for years is wonderful. Should be fun!! |

| 31st May 2007 Jenny | claustraphobia - From: Beijing Basement That room in Bejing sounds really claustraphobic (don't think I've spelt that right)! How would you get out in an emergency? Doesn't bear thinking about really! You've certainly experienced some different types of accommodation on your travels. Bet it's nice & warm wherever you are though - blooming freezing here at the moment!! Off to London for the weekend to see The Sound of Music so will be singing the Hills are Alive all next week!! Take care both of you. xx |
| 30th May 2007 Martyn | Enduring the Durian... - From: No Umpa’s in Kuala Lumpur Did you manage to locate any durian fruit in Malaysia? A wonderful cocktail of creamy flesh with an underlying tang of rotten cocktail onion and a whiff of gas leak. Unforgettable! |
| 16th May 2007 Dad | Paradise - From: In search of beautiful Thai islands .... Call a place paradise and kiss it goodbye!!! Come to Ladram Bay East Devon - has the stacks and a lot less expensive on the travel! No I'm only jealous. Don't believe Jenny - Vicki is just an email acquantance and is a bit thick and needed a bit of help with organising our taxi to get us to and from our boat on holiday. I didn't think I should rub her nose in it so used my charm instead. Far less stressful. Jenny was worried that they would be left at the airport because Vicki had only booked a taxi for two. Anyone could have made that mistake!!!! |
| 14th May 2007 Jenny | Not such a paradise! - From: In search of beautiful Thai islands .... Sad that Phuket doesn't seem to be quite the paradise we would expect! Tourism always ruins everything doesn't it! Not sure I would like to get as close to nature as you have been either. Great photos though. Guess your actually in Oz now - bet that's fantastic. Spoke to your Dad yesterday Lexa on the webcam - he seems to be getting quite friendly with Vicki - the lady whose organising our holiday!! Lots of love - Auntie Jenny xx |

| 23rd April 2007 Martyn | Lake Palace Hotel, Udaipur - From: Pancakes, palaces and lakes The closest I've got to this place is reading about it in 'Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cookery' as I made my 'Aubergines in the Pickling Style'. Apparently the recipe originated with the chef here. Yummy! |
| 17th April 2007 Frank Skinner | - From: Go Go Hindustan!! I'm really enjoying your photos and look forward to each new episode. From a very envious Frank, back in Cirencester. PS Lexa - it must be 15 years since I last met you ! |
| 15th April 2007 Jenny | Great pottery - From: Go Go Hindustan!! I thought your clay pots were very good - obviously hidden artistic talents there! Your trip is so amazing - it makes our forthcoming holiday to the Lot Valley with your Mum & Dad Lexa, seem rather tame!! We enjoyed seeing them on Easter Sat evening when they came up for a meal. Carry on having fun both of you. Love Aunite Jenny & Uncle Paul xxx |
