Frederico, our Canterbury travel companion!
Hi all...hope your gald to see we have finally got some photos up!! Thought we´d give you an update on what we have been doing since our last entry..FINALLY! After our spectacular sunrise tour of Tikal in Guatamala, we headed soth west to Antigua, which is a town just outside Guatamala city. Its old and colonial and a beautiful place in Guatamala...cobbled streets, old churches and surrounded by volcanoes...we stayed in a very "atmospheric hostel" and managed to taste the local nightlife after a week of bussing it and trecking (in the smallest sense of the word!). Now, walking into a [View Full Entry]

The Boat Trip to San Pedro
The Boat Trip to San Pedro

Hey there ladies and gents, The boys and I have recently left the beautiful Belize and have now arrived in Guatemala! Our first stop in Belize was the farming town of Orange Walk. Its industry is based on sugar cane farming but it is known globally for the stunning Mayan ruins at Lamini. we decided to fork out for the 1 and half hour boat ride into the jungle to see the ruins and were not dissapointed! We saw crocs, monkeys and an array of things u wouldn't find on your average day out on the Fulham Palace Rd! unfortunatly we [View Full Entry]

Hullo Ladies and Gentlemen! Another update is long overdue so here goes! As I´m sure you know our reinforcements from the U.K have arrived in the form of Joeseph Taylor-Eves (or in the words of slattery "El gordo diablo blanco"). And since his arrival we have been travelling in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. Before Barry´s (for the benefit of Sally and Adrian that is your scummy son!) arrival me and Brad briefly visited an Island of the coast of Mexico called Isla Mujeres. We just spent one night there but it was incredible, a small town full of mad Mexican [View Full Entry]

Afternoon all, Apologies for not updating more frequently but our time in Tamarindo was rather relaxed so thought it would be easier to give a big update at the end with all the chat. We are now back in San Jose overnight and we fly to Cancun tomorrow. Our first month was spent in "Playa Tamarindo" a fairly small town on the Nicoya Peninsula on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The main reason we went was the to learn Spanish at the language school, and despite a number of very late night and challenging mornings I think we got a [View Full Entry]

Well hullo there everybody. Hope you´re all well, thought it was time for an update. We arrived in Playa Tamarindo last Sunday and we´ve been here for a week now and its cuuushty. We´re at a Spanish school so we´re doing four hours lessons in the mornings then have the afternoons off. Tamarindo is a prime surf town on the pacific side of Costa Rica and everyday we walk 50 metres from our house and we´re on a two-mile long tropical beach with coconuts and palm trees and iguanas and howler monkeys and all sorts. Ive been out surfing once and [View Full Entry]

Hey everybody, Morning all...Cushty. We are currently staying at a family friends house in the hills above San Jose. It is rather fine accomodation I must say...It is a mansion over looking the whole of San Jose and we have our own private wing of the house! Put it this way, it takes roughly 15 minutes to get the kitchen by unicycle. Our Iberia flight was interesting, with a dog on the plane in economy, stroppy stewardesses, loud spanish annoying music and no inflight entertainment. Well there was some movies. We watched hairspray on a small screen on the front [View Full Entry]
