Since you last heard from us we crossed the border into Tanzania. Had a comfortable taxi ride from Kargona Malawi to the Tanzanian border. Just 11 people and 9 buckets of dead fish in a Nissan station wagon. There are some of the funniest named shops in Malawi here's a classic we saw in Karonga. Minibuses the whole way. I think we had to change 4 times. One more night in Blantyre we actually managed to get tickets on the luxury overnight bus leaving the next afternoon at 430 pm to Mzuzu. It was quite the trip from Mozambique to Malawi and we were glad to get to Blantyre which is a big city. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in Africa but it's very friendly and seems more organized than some other countries we've been too. Kruger National Park here we spent 4 nights all at different camps throughout the park. The park is almost 500 miles long and over 300 miles wide so you have to do alot of driving to see animals but it was so neat. It was great. We went to Monkey Land a sanctuary for monkeys from all over the world that have never lived in the wild but are getting as close to it as they ever will. After leaving Swellendam we went to Oudtshoorn. Beautiful drive. At times I'd swear we were driving through New Mexico. Our first stop was just outside of Stellenbosch wine country. We stayed 3 nights in a really nice cabin built over a lake. The bird life there was amazing and the lake was filled with large mouth bass. It didn't rain yesterday so we hopped on a bus and went to the Gardens. They are rated one of the top 7 botanical gardens in the world. It was so beautiful. Aaron was always telling me about a flower here called the Protea now I know why. All sizes colors diffent types they're amazing.
