Well, I took Sashas advice and just drank water last night and Im not planning on drinking for the rest of my trip. Which is only one week but still. Im in airlie beach until wednesday and will be arriving in Cairns by Friday. Ill spend a few days there and then fly back 'home' to sydney where I have a job interview for a place like sport chek. I do have millions of pictures to upload but it takes too much time when im paying for internet. I miss my comments from everyone. Make sure everyone gets a mic so [View Full Entry]

May 6 We arrived in Airlie beach and had a few days to spend until taking off for a sailing trip of the Whit Sundays Islands. The girls are really sweet but spending this much time with a group of 8 girls is definitely starting to get on my nerves. Tom and I decided to get away for the day and hired scooter bikes for 4 hours. We basically just drive around at a maximum of 80 km/h throughout Airlie beach and its surrounding areas. I needed this for my sanity, and it was a really fun day. That night I [View Full Entry]

Apr 29 - May 2 Pretty Much all I can say is wow. The past three days have been spent in one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I went on a two night/three day self drive 4x4 tour on Fraser Island, the biggest sand island in the world. There’s so much to tell that I will most likely forget half of it but here goes anyways. I’ll start chronologically: DAY 1 The Story starts in Hervey Bay where we were staying at a hostel called Beaches. We got up bright and early and packed one small backpack [View Full Entry]

April 26 We had a nice long sleep in and FINALLY got moving by 1. Tom and I went and bought supplies for sandwiches for a Mid-River Picnic. Our crab friends weren’t there because the damn birds scared them away but the pelicans were still around. We ate our sandwiches made of cheap ham and 99cent mayo; I’m getting used to this cheap eats traveling. From there I brought the girls and Tom through a stream heading through the bush. I was scared shitless going through there as I was convinced there would be a croc or snakes jumping out at [View Full Entry]

We’re now in a quaint yuppie town called Noosa; there is a small little strip for their city center and a beach on either side. Tom and I are now the only two guys in our little group of 8 and decided we needed to go for a kayak across the river. There are kayaks free to hire for as long as you like, they’re shit but free so who’s complaining? The river closest to us is full of speedboats and Jet Skis so the plan was to check out some sand banks in the middle then look up prices for [View Full Entry]

Surfers was more of a relaxing time then straight partying which was definitely necessary. Our hostel was more of a hotel then anything; our room was bottom floor with access to a hot tub right outside our door and a pool across the grass. We had a room to four of us with our own fridge, bathroom and TV. All for $25 a night, the standard price for a hostel. The girls in our group are awesome; they planned the rest of my trip for me and I love them for it. I don’t think I’ve been more relaxed, this trip [View Full Entry]

Errrrr... I think its time for a detox. One week, that’s 7 days of getting plastered every night. Byron bay was basically just get as drunk as you can as much as you can. I changed the name of Cheeky Monkeys to the Drunken Monkey and we spent 3 of the 4 nights ending up there. The other was Good Friday and everything was closed so Tommy Chris and I ended up at a church a 2 minute walk from the hostel playing cards and drinking; but not gambling, we wouldn’t disrespect the man upstairs by doing that. Volleyball didn’t end [View Full Entry]

WARNING: The following content is a completely garbled hung over mess with bits of information put in as remembered, run-on sentences, fragments and a load of crap. Reader Discretion is highly advised. The past two days have been insane with way too much drinking. To be honest, I can’t remember a lot of what happened as the last two days have been a complete blur. Ive made good mates with a cool group of people. Played tons of cards on the bus and for lunch Chris and I bought a chicken and cut it up with my swiss army knife in [View Full Entry]

The start of my Oz Experience! Started yesterday 6:30am, hopped in the bus and listened to our tour guide talk about everything we’re going to do. Sounds like this is going to be a wicked trip. But it could very well get costly, I just paid $105 for one night food/stay/activities; but it was so very worth it. The group is awesome and the place we stayed is super cool. It’s remade to look like a mining village and the activities included a choice of night kayaking/horseback riding/Abseiling (going down a cliff on a rope)/mountain biking. I chose Night kayaking and [View Full Entry]

I've been told not to take my laptop with me by a number of people and the debate is still on the night before my departure for the coast. SO, I may or may not be updating my blog, also depending on internet cafes along the way. I have a problem with paying for internet now that I am tapping into the guy's next door. Point is, I leave tomorrow morning 6:45 sharp! Yahoo! A trip full of kayaking, surfing, biking, snorkelling, meeting friends (haha), eating, drinking, boozing, sleeping, rooting, hiking.... the list goes on. I'll take lots of pictues I [View Full Entry]
