First impressions I saw this photo in the highly rated section of Travelblog. I originally thought it was 3 men with their bodies painted standing really still, waiting for people to throw money at them. But then I read your caption, very funny. Great Pic guys.
Thanks for sharing the adventure! It's been great being able to share your trip through the blog. Thanks for all the effort you put into it. The time you've been away would have seemed so much longer without it. Now as the journey winds down we can all look back and recall some of the adventures.
Being away from the familiar gives you such a different perspective on things, especially when you're in a different culture. Looking forward to your return. God speed. Love mom
Sea to sky It looks like you have your own "Sea to Sky" adventures out there. I love that one picture is in the water and the next is in the snow. This trip looks like a life changing experience and I am so happy for you for doing it! Safe travels as you start to head back to Canada.
Take care and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

when you come home Hey guys, I'm glad your keeping so active because when you get home you'll have no problem shoveling all the white stuff. We have our fair share of snow already, (here anyway)I can't wait til spring. I love the stories and the pictures are amazing. If it wasn't for all your adventures I would never see beond Sask and Alberta. Can't wait to see you guys.
way to go!! Awesome job on the tri guys. It's always fun to compete overseas, since there aren't too many different tri locations in sask. Enjoy the hot weather, the snow is only exciting when your not around it!!
Thanks for the memories Glad to see the beautiful pictures and to hear you guys are doing OK. Can't wait till you get home and we actually get to see you in person! Take care and enjoy your remaining time. Stay safe. Love you!
You two amaze us.... Everytime we get one of these we can't believe the amazing adventures that you are having! This time it's sky-diving and taking part in a NZ triathalon.....you two are nuts!!! We were actually starting to wonder what you've been up to because it's been so long since your last travelblog entry, but it makes sense that you didn't have much exciting going on since you've been working and like the rest of us....not too much to report when you're just going to and from work everyday right! Anyways, enjoy the last part of your journey and hopefully we can connect in Weyburn over the holidays!
hey! well, i thought i should FINALLY comment since this is your second last blog.
okay, you guys are too cute. i love the blogs, they are hilarious. thanks for keeping us updated on your adventures.
hopefully i'll see you guys when you pass through vancouver in december!
take care and enjoy the rest of your trip.

weather report from Sask. Hi Guys!
Just wanted to let you know we've had the first snowfall of the year so don't worry I'm sure we'll have lots of snow by the time you return. You haven't had a chance to experience the white stuff for awhile now.
Actually I'm getting more comfortable with the change of seasons here (after all these years!) and not dreading the coming of winter. Although I'm sure about Feb./Mar. I'll be looking forward to it warming up again! It's going to be chilly for the trick or treaters but it's supposed to warm-up again in Nov. before winter's here to stay.
Had to re-read the blog a bit to follow: you were so many places! Then you were back in New Zealand. Whew, breathed a sigh of relief, you were back on familiar ground. Thailand sounds very interesting and beautiful although some of their customs were a little unusual!!! Don't think the bathroom massage thing would fly here!
Everyone is well here and looking forward to your return. It will be so nice to have you home for Christmas.
Love from Sask.

Enjoy Blog Starting Fall here, is great to see the two of you viewing the other side of the world. I was able to drive combine in harvest. Am trimming the trees in my yard now, and hope to put new shingles on the house. Keep your feet on the ground and your eyes on the Lord. Love Uncle Dave.
Surprize! Hi guys! I finally decided to look up your travelblog! We have had a great summer in Saskatchewan - lots of sun and amazing evenings! I enjoyed all the pictures. I will have to show them to Rod! It has been 20 years since he has been in NZ but he will remember some of the spots you have been for sure. What an adventure! Take care.
tall in thailand hi guys really enjoying the pictures and hearing all the different storys sorry to hear about the bike sounds like something i would do. you probably feel pretty big walking around amongst the thai people but im sure you respect them once you see how tough they in the mauy thai sessions. keep your head up and take care of each other. love dad.
2nd leg of the journey Great to hear from you. Sent you an email but not sure if it went through correctly so thought I'd let you know, really enjoyed the first blog from Thailand. Sorry about that bike was hoping it might have been found by now. Send me an address and I'll send you a contribution if it doesn't show up (can't let the Buddists outdo the Christians!). You don't seem to be having any trouble meeting new people: you and the New Zealanders in the pub, you and the Thailanders in the pub. Seriously it looks like a lot of fun and wish I could meet some of those people myself! Your Tai hosts at the guesthouse sound so nice. That was really good to hear and that he was able to help with the bike thing. Tell them your mother thanks them and if they ever come to Canada I would be glad to have them as a guest here. Love Mom
Soggy Sask! Hi guys, know what you mean about the humidity Brett....we've been getting a certain amount here with about an inch of rain each week....makes it a challenge to do any fieldwork....each year is different. Glad to hear you guys are surviving great...Love the updates and photography! Hope you found the scooter....take care! Love U !!
Brett you missed your calling! Although I guess it's not too late! You have a way with words brother. I have gone from genuine tears of pride and pain to laughter all in one Blog entry. I could practically feel my little sis biting the concrete on that fall but I am so glad you are there to support each other. Enjoy the change of pace and scenery in Thailand and bring some self defence moves back and we'll set up a back yard brawl between you and Andre!
P.S. Sorry, haven't seen the bike! I'll keep a look out.
hi guys I really liked the penguin pictures PUNK! and Vicki too thanks for letting us see your pictures too. Brett looks silly in that last one. HA HA HA. Hope your having a good time keep in touch. My mom dad and Sydney say hi too.
Absolutely Amazing Hi you two.....we love getting your blogs....keep them coming. You have some absolutley amazing pictures. I know it's likely a daunting task to sit in an internet cafe and download pictures and to write us about all your adventures, but it will be so worth it in the end because you will have an amazing recount of your journey together. It will be so much fun when you are home and back in day to day to read about your amazing adventure and what your thoughts and feelings were at that time.....I know, I know, spoken like a true scrapbooker!!! Have a great time on the next leg of your trip....can't wait for the next update!
Looks Great It is great to see the two of you learning new information each day. I enjoy the commucation you are having with each other and those around you. keep peddling.
Some kinda party! Wow, looks like things are rolling on well. Once again very beautiful pics, I also have a question for you Brett (and you knew I would ask) while in Tautapere did YOU take in the big sausage party? if so where are those pictures? the crew would really like to see them. Until next time, have fun keep safe....I probably should have refered to it as festival not party.
hello from Weyburn! My first question, how are both of you! My second question, where is your razor, don't you have a razor, don't they have razors in New Zealand, would you like me to send you a razor? Enough of that! Have a good time and a safe journey. I'm keeping track of all the earthquakes over there and informing your mom (she doesn't listen to the news, I do). She told me not to listen to the news anymore but who will keep track of the earthquakes if I don't. Have I scared you into coming home yet??? If not I'll try again later. Love grandma
I know that I am not the only one thinking it..... .....you guys know what you will look like in 30 years (of bliss!) after seeing the picture of your friends Graeme and Kathy! I know Uncle Tim would have thrown in his two cents about that. Dad would have said something about "Living on Love?" like he used to when he couldn't get Vicki to eat. Nonetheless, it goes to show that whether it is the "clod" or an older/more experienced "hippy couple", there are many interesting people to learn from and enjoy! Although puke running down my bunk is not the enjoy part so I guess I hope you learned something?
Hi everyone, welcome to our travelblog! As most of you know we will be traveling for the next year, so we set up this blog to keep in touch with all those we will miss. Right now our plan is to bike NZ, study in Thailand and then back to NZ to work. Hope to hear from you all, take care.... full info
