We flew from Cairo to Marakech, our last stop. We stayed at the Beautiful Sofitel Hotel. We visited the Medina (old Town) and the Souk (Shopping area). The Spice Girls loved the shopping! We had a Farewell Party with costumes of places we had visited. Moroccan music with a Belly Dancer followed. She really cashed in! We headed back to Washington on 4/14 after having traveled 30,074 around the world in 23 days and landed back home in DC at 2:27pm.... read more

We flew to Cairo and went to Oberoi near the Pyramids. We had Dr Hawas, Director of Egyptian Antiquities tell us about his latest findings. We toured the Pyramids which are much larger in person. We also toured the Sphinx.... read more

We are in Luxor formerly known as Thebes. We are at teh Sonesta St George Hotel overlooking the nice. We visited the Valley of the Kings with tombs of Ramses and Tut. We also visited the Temples of Medinet Habu and Karnak. There was a Gala Dinner at the Luxor Temple which was closed especially for our group with Music and Entertainment. We flew to Kilmanjaro Airport and then took a small hop to the Serengetti Nationla Park. We stayed at the Sopa Lodge which has a gorgeous view of the Serengetti. We went on several Safaris and saw many animlas. In adition, there was migration of the Wildebeest near us where we observed thousands of animals moving to different areas of the park. We flew from Kunming directly to Agra and landed at Military Base built by Brits for Flying Tigers. There are no commercial flights here but we are treated royally by the Indian Military as we land there. We headed straight to the Taj Mahal. There was a surprise marriage proposal from 2 of the passengers on tehs teps of the Taj Mahal. We will keep their identity secret as they have not told their family. We stayed at teh Amervillas with a spectacular view of teh Taj from our rom. We dined at the Indian Restaurant to Sitar and Tabla players music.... read more

Although we were scheduled to go to Lhasa, Tibet, due to the current political turmoil, the itinerary was changed for travel to Lijiang and Kunming in the Yannan province. The Banyan Tree resort in Lijiang was the best hotel we stayed yet. We had a private villa with a Jacuzzi and view of Snow Mountain. We visited a village of teh Naxi people taht has existed for several centuries. We then watched the show "Impression Lijiang" directed by the same person who did the Beijing Olympics show. They ahd about 500 people performa breathtaking show. We then visited Jade Park with beautiful Bridges, Pagodas, and finally a Tea ceremony illustratinthe making of Puer tea which is grown in the region. We finished off with a visit to The Stone Forest in Kunming.... read more

FRom Australia we flew to Siem Reap and stayed at the Raffles Angkor Palace Hotel. The Hotel is charming with a long history. We visit Angkor which is the world's largest Hindu temple. We watch a traditionla native show at Dinner. ... read more

We landed in Cairns and drove to Port Douglas. We are staying in a 2 Bedroom Condo at Sea Temple Resort with a Jacuzzi on the roof. The first evening a Surprise Guest comes to the Reception. We then take a Boat Ride to the Great Barrier Reef. Dr Johnson scuba dives while rest snorkle. We also take a submarine ride to see teh corals and fish. We are surrounde by Frogs in Austarlia!... read more

We flew to Western Samoa for an overnight stay. The Aggie Grey Resort was lovely on the beach, Robert Louis Stevenson lived on the island wher he wrote 13 books. We visited his home which is now a museum.... read more

We fly on our Jet to Easter Island to Papa Nui. Here the original Polynesian inhabitants bult these large stone statues called Moai. The reasons for teh extinction of this civilization is not known but they have left many interesting sites.... read more
