Happy Continuation! (a swedish expression) - From: HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
Happy New Year to you too! Just writing really short here from the library. I have not got back to work yet (and I don't feel like it either, but that's one of the advantages of my job, that I can decide from one day to another if I want to be on holiday or not...) Seems like Christmas in Mexico was good.! In sweden we also have our big christmas dinner on the 24th (although not at midnight) so I guess the mexicans knows how to celebrate it the right way! ;) Hope that all is well with you both and that 2007 will be fabolous!!! Lots of Love Lisa Ps. I know I was really late in sending my present (I received your card on the 28th wich was exactly one month after it being stamped!!!! I guess it can take ages before it arrives to you!) Apologises from my part but hope it doesn't cause too much difficulties?!

Hello from Australia! - From: MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Hi Angharad, I've been reading your blogs and sounds like you're having a wonderful time in Mexico and I'm so glad to hear you are happy with your boyfriend! The photos are great too, looks beautiful there and really gives me a feel to what your life must be like...a bit different to Swansea hey?! Glad to hear you have found work, I bet you're a brilliant teacher and they love you there! Are you still in touch with the Que Pasa crowd? That must seem like a lifetime ago now... Well, like you, I am living in another country with my boyfriend. I have been in Australia for about 5 months now and am living with an Australian guy I met the last time I was here studying. I had my first Christmas away from home this year too...spent it out in the bush where my boyfriend's folks live...it's a very hippy place, so it was pretty relaxing and everyone was so happy just drinking in the sun and playing lots of music (they had homemade drum kits created from pots and pans - very cool!). So it was a very different Christmas to what I'm used to in Wales, but I had such a good time! Well, I look forward to hearing what you've been up to over Christmas and I wish you a wonderful New Year! Take care, love Leanne xxx

Hows your spanish coming along? are you able to talk more with Stalin and not tell him it's quite time! ;) Hope your first full week of work goes ok. You'll going to be loaded (by mexican standards). Hi Angharad, I finally received your emails was pleasantly surprised by the website that you are using with all the photo's. It is really wonderful, because it almost feels like I can experience Mexico with you. Thank you for including me in your emails. I am glad to hear that everything is going well. I remember the first few months for me in the UK was really hard. It takes time to adjust and figure out how everything works. So don't worry, you will feel at home soon. I am not sure how this comment thing works. please let me know if this is the only way that you can receive emails or how I need to reply? Hope to hear from you soon. Cheers, Rene

Hi Angahrad Great to read what you've been up to. I am also loving being in Mexico, and yes it takes a while to get used to all the little things that make Mexicans so unique. I'm really enjoying being at the language school and have learnt so much form observing other teachers of English. If you need any help on that front, just email me. Hope your first day of work went well and hope to see you in November, Love Hannah ps love your casita naranja!

Hello!! Love your blog, so good to hear what your getting up to! sounds very hard work at times though - what with the hand washing, the teaching and coping with the strictness, not how we were taught to do it in mentoring!! Like the sound of this soap (akin to sunset!! - loved that also, very very corney and awful, but great!). Continue having fun, lots of love xxxxxxxxxxx Rach

Living in a bubble - From: My first few days in Kenya
Hallllawww! I'm so glad you are having a good time in Kenya and that you enjoy the people and the food! Sounds lovely with the tea plantages and the zebras and to experience a way of life and people so different to the Western Europe... All of a sudden I feel like I live in a bubble with no contact with "real life" because the most exotic place I've been is Turkey which, from my experience, varies from west European style to very primitive, but I never stayed out with the locals experiencing life their way... I try to imagine life in Kenya, and I try to imagine you in Kenya, but is too hard when I have nothing to compare with and it just turns out blend... (I'm looking forward to photos, no matter if they capture the feeling of being there or not, it will be nice for me just to get a grasp of what it looks like) The kids sounds lovely and I'm sure you'll enjoy your time with them and that you'll enjoy your time in Kenya as long as you avoid to bath in the "placenta lake"! :) Weather wise it's still very cold in sweden and I still wear my winter coat even though it's mid April, which is a disgrace! Anyway am off to Chicago in 1.5 weeks time so, fingers crossed, I hope for some more spring there or at least here when I get back home again... Looking forward to hearing more stories from Kenya, until then Take Good Care!!! Lots and Lots of Love Lisa
