Hi everyone, Once again just a quick entry to tell you the latest news. First the bad news... Remember I told you about the tortilla men who delivered to your home...well the government has banned them here in Tuxtla. So now we have to walk to the tortillarilla (the shop that makes and sells tortillas) to get them...all two streets away!! : ) Also, the weather will be heating up very soon...so I have got myself prepared...I have bought an umbrella! Gosh...its been so long...where do I even start!! Unfortunately, I have forgotten most of what has happened...but probably just as well because otherwise this blog would be far too long (and its long enough as it is!)! Hi everyone! I just want to wish you all a brilliant Christmas! I will be spending my Christmas here in San Cristobal...so I have escaped the heat of Tuxtla and am wearing my coat, scarf, and hat in the nice cold weather here! Lets see...what has happened over the past few days... Well, I bought a mobile phone (the cheapest I could find!). But it’s strange, because I dont have many friends here in Mexico, so it’s weird not to always be texting someone! A lot of the time, the messages are for Stalin (his phone has broken!). Today is the second of November - its a month since I left little old Wales!! I cant believe how quickly a month has gone, but at the same time it feels like I have lived here for so much longer! Its been a strange few weeks, its seemed so much longer and I think in some ways it still hasnt quite sunk in that Im living in Mexico! My last days in Mexico Me and the guys travelled for 12 hours on a night bus to San Cristobel - and thats where we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. It was really sad leaving them because I had spent the past two weeks with them and they were such fun travel companions. It was extra hard being by myself because I was tired. I spent the day in San Cristobel, sorting out my transport to Guatemala and looking on the internet for Spanish schools. Arriving in Puerto Escondido So we arrived in Puerto Escondido early on Friday morning. It was so nice to be warm and dry! In the coach station in Oaxaca City we bumped into two girls who we met in Hostel Amigo in Mexico City - they ended up on our coach and coming to Puerto Escondido with us! So we sleepily flagged down a couple of taxis and went looking for accommodation.
