Once again I was up at the crack of dawn. 8:30 is early for a lazy student! Walked to the tube to catch a train to the Tower of London. It was very interesting and I still am in shock that I got to see the crown jewels. There was an extreme amount of glitter and glam in one room. It was off to St Paul's church for the rest of the afternoon. I have been many churches in Europe, but I have never seen a ceiling sparkle like this one. Woke up and headed out to the tube (this saved us an amazing amount of time!). We headed out to Oxford Street and that is trouble for two girls! I couldn’t believe all the nice stores this street had and I wish I had some money to go crazy. I don't think I could have afforded a sock at any of the places, except H&M (love that store)! I use to stare at my computer screen at work with its London back round and dream of the day I would be there! Well I made it! I spent three brilliant days in the city of London! Josh, Amber, Kelly(aka negasaurus rex), and I all made our first weekend journey to Manchester. I only got 4 hours of sleep the night before because Amber and I went to the union (had a little slumber party at her place). Woke up ran home and then ran to the bus stop! Friday was the best day I have had since I have been in England. Woke up and went for a run out in the countryside. It was beautiful and the hills made my legs hurt for a good two days! I didn't realize how beautiful the land around uni is. I am going to have to bring my camera next time. Then I went home to try to do some school work and of course that didn't happen. Tuesday night is for going out! The night started around 9:30 and a bunch of the girls, who are also exchange students got together to go out on the town of Newcastle. Our night started at Revolutions and I ended up having two horrible drinks. Then I had two good drinks from a pitcher. The brits are crazy and one bloke chugged two pitchers! I am going crazy waiting for the pancakes my dad sent! I don’t think I can make it another day! There is also a comfy blanket that my cousin gave me for Christmas in the box! Today was a crazy day! Yesterday I went to Birmingham! It was a great little (well not little..it is the second largest city in England!) city with brillant shopping! There is a mall call the "Bull ring" that has every store you could imagine! I know this is bad, but they had Starbucks on every corner! Ofcourse being addicted to chai tea I went in and had a chai latte with soy milk! Don't hate me! I know I am in the middle of Europe drinking Starbucks and that should be illegal! Today was one of those days I should have just stayed in bed. I love the fact that England is so laid back and relaxed. The problem is when you need to get something done you have to spend all day doing it! My uni in Texas was not going to give me credit for a class. I ended up having to drop two of my classes and I am trying to add another one.
