Its been a while since I was able to write any news updates, as time has been short and Internet access (the kind where you dont wait 10 minutes for the webpage to load) is hard to come by. This weekend we went to Bontang, a small city in the north-east of Kalimantan, and owe a lot of its existance to the two major companies here, a fertilizer industry and a gas liquifier plant. Compared to the hectical city of Balikpapan, Bontang is like a little garden of eden; quiet and with large green open spaces and parks. Its been a while since I was able to update but I finally found an Internet cafe or maybe Internet Online game-joint would be more appropriate because thats what most of the customers here are doing. But I have been offered tea to drink and once been informed that smoking was allowed here :) After landing at the Balikpapan airport, we were picked up by a minibuss and driven to the terminal. Getting Visa was just simply standing at the right counter, handing over the passport and $25 for the 30 days as Balikpapan is one of the entry points to Indonesia. I have finally arrived at Singapore Airport, after a twelve hour flight from Copenhagen. Theres still another five hours before my next flight (and final *hurray*) to Balikpapan - Indonesia:D Writing from airports wasnt as good idea as I thought, most arent free and those who are have timelimits, most of you know I have a certain favor of long texts and to top it off, now the keys have moved around with a new keyboard layout ;) Temperature here is about 27 degrees Celcius clear and sunny and I can only assume it will get hotter as the day gets more mature. The journey has finally begun, after a sleepless night. The day started bad, with a message on the airport train information screen politely telling me that my flight to Denmark was cancelled and I spent the remaining 18 minutes imagining my entire travel schedule going down the drain. But checkin was without any problems and after inquiring at the information desk, they told me that I was moved to another plane with a later departure time. This means I have less waiting time in Copenhagen, which doesnt really bother me and also I got the added bonus of spending some time looking confused in the tax free shop and finally stumbeling across this internet terminal *grin* I wont have any time for further updates until I reach Singapore (or all the way in Indonesia) but at ... read more

Today is the last day before the real journey begins. My nerves have calmed down, they had a last minute system check a few days ago, every travellers worst dreams coming true when the day before departure you become sick and too weak to do anything. Well, no real updates yet as my journey has far from begun, I just decided I would make an initial log-message and spread the URL to everyone I know :D I will try to update this often, or at least as often as I can get Internet access so expect more text and hopefully some pictures as well :) Update: I played a little around with the google maps, so here is my complete travel route for tomorrows journey.
