- From: At long last another blog.
So glad I stumbled across your blog. I've been feeling apprehensive about my future as a teacher in Korea, and after eavesdropping on your lives for a while, I feel great! I'm sure my boyfriend will be thanking you, too, as he's been listening to me bitch using words like "Terrified" and "home sick." :)

Re: The Dogs Are Here! - From: The Dogs Are Here!!! - Jeffry
I'm so glad to have come across this story! I will be moving to Korea in January and will either be bringing my dog then or will have someone send her there after I get settled. I've been very worried about the long flight and the process in general. However, although there were a few complications, it sounds like things went well with these two pups! Two questions....I'm flying Air Canada also. I know how much it costs to put my dog in baggage, but what about the cost to fly cargo?? Also, how do Korean landlords feel about keeping pets in rental apartments? Thanks again for the very informative story! Lois

- From: Packing and more packing.
hi there. Erin got her regular teacher's visa. I came with her on a visitor's visa. I had to have a plane ticket out of the country to prove I was going to leave within six months (six months for canadians, three, i think for british people, and even shorter for americans). Once here and once Erin had her alien card we applied for my dependant visa with multiple entrys. It took about a week to arrive. Hope that helps.

Question: - From: Packing and more packing.
I stumbled on your blog doing a search about teaching English in Korea... I was just curious what kind of visa Jeffry had to get in order to stay there with you while you work... Thanks!

I'm so glad to see the pictures of Morley and Suki with the two of you again. Hopefully at some level they'll trust that no matter how upside down their world seems, they'll end up with their people again. An adventure for you all. Love Mom.

I had no intention in offending anyone besides republicans. I guess when you have no idea whats going on around you, you do tend to make sweeping judgements. I'll have to watch that, I guess. But, actually, I was reading about the mad cow thing in the paper the other day, so I was just making a joke.

A Korean
Eh...no - From: photos
>They don't like him here either. apparently all koreans think that american beef has mad cow in it. No. It is a poster just being a poster, if you know what I mean. We don't like our own president and politicians even more, for reasons you can easily find out if you are willing to invest some of your free time. The mad cow issue is far more complex than you may think (and so are Koreans, contray to popular western perception) and I hope you you think a bit before posting a sweeping comment like that, even if the purpose is only humorous.

springtime in Korea - From: First Day - Jeffry
Glad your trip over went well! There may be grey skies but those are MOUNTAINS! green trees, and flowers out your window! i'm very jealous. i can't wait for summer. Your lunch looks amazing, and sounded even better! It reminds me of this little restaurant in Toronto where you can eat chinese buns and soup until you die, and it all only costs 5 bucks!
