| 10th January 2008 Eriku | Chu Defined - From: Put Some Soy on It Hey Papa, I'm glad you're shooting me some Q's--just to keep me one my toes I like it! Chu means "Center," in regards to Chu Toro. This means the center of the tuna...or the fatty part! MMMMMM. Later that day, Max's girlfriend seared the remaining Chu Toro. From what I heard, it was even better than Nama (fresh\uncooked). LOVE |
| 10th January 2008 Eriku | - From: The Moose Leaves the Dragon, Enters the Kath Yeah, Slava, The Skyline was SICK. Remind me to give you that present, as it relates to the Skyline. You know, if we were there now, we could have done a test drive around tokyo. Oh, to be japanese again... |
| 10th January 2008 Eriku | Answer: Re Special Dogs in Nepal - From: The Moose Leaves the Dragon, Enters the Kath Papa san, Nepal does have a special dog. Well, it's Tibetan though, i think. The Mastif. They grow HUGE, and are meant to scare off the local yetis and snow leopards. They are also bred to me mean mothafs. But i've seen some as puppies, and they are absolutely adorable! |
| 10th January 2008 Eriku | - From: Less to Lesser, Few to Fewer. But there's More. Hey Bro! yeah, i'm back in the US. I had to start school this week. Since internet was hard to come by on the trip, I wrote a journal and now i'm kind of reflecting by writing up the journal plus adding my own stuff, and pics! Glad you like it! Please, come with me next time!! Japan and Singapore were not the same without you! But yeah, Max in Japan is JUST like you would remember it. ALL GOOD!!!! |
| 10th January 2008 Shiruba | This cannot be - From: Japan Yokoso! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe Gankou Ramen no longer exists! This must be one the saddest piece of news I've heard in a long time... It really is a loss to humanity. RIP. |

| 22nd December 2007 Mom | - From: Ama Dablam, No Problem! Woke up this morning in anticipation of reading your journal. Looking forward to the next stop. XOXO Mom |
| 19th December 2007 pappy | speaking of bringing it all back home - From: Question or Dare The clear answer is stuff, specifically a "fine" blade, a trekking stick only if it is different. Forget the Yak butter or leg of goat. nothing that itches...folk art is ok. Nothing is ok as well, don't waste your time looking for stuff. CHAP STICK...SUNSCREEN. L & K PAPPY |
| 19th December 2007 spunkle | movin on up - From: The Moose Leaves the Dragon, Enters the Kath I wasn't ready to leave Japan so fast as I was getting used to fat toro for breakfast however....supper at Everest is looking attractive. It would be a treat to see some pics using that hot nicon you're packing. As usual I'm traveling vicariously thru your diary. The next stop looks like Lazimpat..which transliter.ated into yiddish is Luz-eem-oop meaning(let him be).I have no idea where that came from. Does Nepal have a special dog? a Nepalese??? only if they are smart and respond to spunkle or uncle sweet bear. Back to work.....love me. |
| 18th December 2007 Slava | Wooosh - From: The Moose Leaves the Dragon, Enters the Kath Looking pretty good so far..... I saw the pic of you sitting in the Skyline....sick... Nothing to report from Miami so far, the Dolphins won, but then again that is about as relevant to you right now as Johnny Boy finding a naked chick in his bed... Post some pics from Nepal when you get a chance. Laters, Slava |

| 14th December 2007 mom and dad | wasabi - From: Put Some Soy on It Well, was the tuna as good as it sounded. Did they have those giant tuna as well ? Your blog presses mom and I to return. The Skyline pic looked good on you..Where would they allow you to test drive the beast....likely 20' foreward and back, more than that and you're liable to change time zones. Please confirm the translation of chu. Looking foreward to the next chapter.. pappy/n'mappy |

| 16th July 2006 flash | gone - From: Go Magpies! I did it again, finger hit some magic button and the whole mess up n gone. Impossible to duplicate. Naturally it would be my most insightful bit explaning the meaning of the continental drift indicating that Australia will drift up to Mexico and be mextralia as opposed to floating back to africa where it broke off(hence that big defect in the east coast of africa) to become africalia. As you might guess I neglected to wear my pith helmet and the sun gobbled up what was left of my noggin. With sunny gone the rabbits have invaded the yard and made it their toilet. Do they sell fosters? Do find us a beach side bungalow ....xoxoxo |
