You're a brave traveller.
You're brave for going to all these places by yourself! The tunnels sound kind of scary. I think I would have chickened out too. That's unbelievable that they were smaller and people lived there! All around interesting post. Thanks for sharing about your adventures with us!

Sorry I'm so late
Dear Gard: Sorry, I haven't checked into my blog in a long time. I've obviously missed your trip, but I wouldn't have been able to help you anyway. I gave blood at a temporary clinic they set up in an office building for a day. I have no idea where the permanent clinic is.

Blood donation in Bangkok
Hi. Im going to Bangkok in November and Im thinking of donating blood there if there is a need for it. I donated blood in Cambodia earlier this year as there was a need for it. Where can tourists go to donate blood in Bangkok?

English camp
Glad to hear that the alphabet backwards feat was so well received - fancy that! Now I really must learn how to do it as I think I may be one of the only Wintemutes not to have tackled it :)

tourist for a day!
Wow - beautiful pictures Michel - I especially love the handpainted five color pottery - indeed incredible detail! Of course, I don't condone "skipping school" (lol) - but the adventure you have chronicled certainly was educational! Thanks for sharing. Until your next blog, take care!

Exciting times in Bangkok!
That's scary that that happened to the bridge. I hope no one was hurt! I can just imagine the mess on that busy street! I didn't like doing the Freshy camp promotion duty either. When Josh and I were there we just strolled through campus and talked to people at other club booths and told them about what we were doing.

Happy for you
My heart sank for the catastrophes but I'm so glad that your things will be restored. That's a really cool story about the water bottle. I think it's funny that you've used up all of the names from the 12 apostles.

laptop catastrophe
Hey Michel-Lyn thanks for the blog update - glad to hear that you have had the catastrophe dilemma solved and that you are getting another waterbottle like the one damaged. Looking forward to seeing some of your pictures soon!

thanks
Thanks for the recent update - very interesting to hear the custom of the Kratongs - I find it interesting how each culture has their customs/traditions, a lot of which we can see similarities to our own in - thanks for sharing the photos too!

wait times
Yes, wait times for MRI's can be long. Glad you were able to get in so quickly. I hope your follow up brings good news. I remember having a test (believe it was a whole body bone scan) when I was a teenager, having to lay still for a long period of time as well. This machine swung like a pendulum at me and the desire was great to shift to avoid being struck - which of course it didn't, but the the desire was still there - if I'd moved the test would have been spoiled... all that to stay, it came back as "normal"....

travel update
Wow Michel - sounds like quite a trip - especially love the fish pedicure - Andrea was commenting how much she needs one - too bad this type isn't offered here! Trust you are keeping well - hope to hear more about your travels soon....

Cake blog entry
Hi Michel - thanks for the update - what a great idea! A dessert buffet. Wish Nat a very happy belated birthday - it looks like you all had a good time. Trust your book reading is going well too - how good it was for you to find your favorite stores.

wait times
Well, just think. If you were in Canada it would have been a 6 mos wait for the MRI and 2 weeks more for the results! What a blessing to get such quick action. Hope everything clears up quickly for you. Now you know which hospital to go to from now on. Hope you are doing well. Janet
